Upcoming 3x3s

A 700-hour battery smartcube!!

Having used quite a few smartcubes, I can tell you rechargeable battery smartcubes are very inconvenient. You never know when you just want to take it out, or want to use it for drilling some algorithm (best with a robot). And it's usually dead and needs time to charge up. That's one reason I am not buying the Gan UI Freeplay cubes.

didn't they just release the iCarry S?

I guess the ICarry S is just a minor (mainly battery and software) upgrade from the ICarry. This is a proper version 2. I'm debating with myself whether to buy it, having bought the S just a few months ago. The main reservation for me is the same problem that just about all Gan cubes have, for me. The 56mm size is too large and not ideal for me.

You can buy it here. See link above and there are additional product details on that page. Seems like a reasonable price, considering that it is a Gan and a smartcube. And all the latest Gan smartcubes actually work well, including working with the robot and the Cubestation app. It's made more complicated if you want to use other app like Cubeast, just during the installation. Read my review of the ICarry S to find out how to do it. I can't emphasize enough the huge advantage of an eveready smartcube over a rechargeable one.

Note. The Gan Mini UI Freeplay does not work with the Gan Robot.

I've tried the Super Weilongs and I have to say they're pretty boring. They feel very similar to the WRM v9 with a bit of the stability of the RS3M v5. I liked the 8 Magnet Maglev version but the 20 magnet version was also nice. I think it nails the feel of a weilong but it's not really worth it since all the accessories+packaging you get are excessive.
Here's the first full review in English I have seen of the Super Weilong. It has some similar comments. I particularly like it when he compares it with not only other popular Moyu cubes like the YS3M, the V9 and V5, but also the Tornado V3. Interesting.

cubicle's quick to follow

will keep finding purchase links
actually, you can order "sample"
you just have to get 2 of them

8-Magnet Ball-core cube Version$35.00
8-Maglev Magic Cloth Version$44.00
20-Magnet Ball-core with cloth version$47.00

Some more information about the Gan ICarry 2:

Axis distance - 3 settings
Tension - 4 settings
Size - 56mm
Weight - 88g 😬

The cube activated when picked up or when shaken, (no need to turn the layers). It's a new design different from the earlier Icarry cubes. Pity about the weight.

Price at Gan shop - $57 and $69 (UV)

New video showing how the corner magnet adjustment system of the Super Weilong works. You can also see the new shape of the Bowler hat, with the rim now slanting at an angle.

I might put it up for pre-order tomorrow, unfortunately the package apparently weighs over 1KG which significantly increases costs for cube stores.

please don't post links to speedcubestore, it helps them rank on Google and they are obviously a nuisance both to cube stores like me and speedcubers in the UK who end up waiting months for their cubes
