The Solve Critique Thread

a fridrich solve that i would like criticism for. i average 25-28, and i want to average sub 20. thanks :)
scramble: U L2 B R D' L U' B2 D2 L2 F2 R U2 F' D F L2 F' D' R' B U2 L' R2 D'
x2
cross: B' L D2 B
F2L 1: U y' R' U2 R U' R' U R
F2L 2: U2 L' U2 L2 U' L'
F2L 3: U y' R' U2 R U' y R U R'
F2L 4: y' U R U R' U' y' R' U R
OLL: (that one 2look double headlights case)
PLL: U' G perm (Ga i think) U

Minimize cube rotations.
I would do f2l something like:
scramble: U L2 B R D' L U' B2 D2 L2 F2 R U2 F' D F L2 F' D' R' B U2 L' R2 D'
x2
cross: B' L D2 B
F2L 1: R' U R2 U R' U2 L' U2 L
F2L 2: y' U' L' U' L2
F2L 3: U2 L'
F2L 4: U R' U2 R

F2L 4: y' U R U R' U' y' R' U R
OLL: (that one 2look double headlights case)
PLL: U' G perm (Ga i think) U

Here's what I would have done (avg about 20)
z2
F' R D2 F // (4,4)
U R U' R' U F' L F L' // (9,13)
R U' R' U2 y R' U' R // (7, 20)
d R' U2 R U' R' U F R F' // (10, 30)
U' R U R' U' R U' R' F' U' F R U R'
U-perm
30 move for me vs 33 for yours. Not much, but at 3 tps, that's a second. Also, do you know full OLL and PLL? If not, start learning.

Hi guys
Could you critique and rate my solve?

Critique: You seem to be very efficient and have decent lookahead, so the next step is probably just turning a little faster without losing that lookahead.
Rating: 10/10 for two camera angles and awesome music.

Brest, can you reconstruct? Scramble is in description. So any tips?

Brest would have to be the nicest person ever to reconstruct a solve that long. Owait, he is =D

1) Unnecessary cube rotation in your blocks. It would have been easier to use an F' instead of a rotation.
2) Correct me if I'm mistaken but your first block seemed awfully cfopy. You seemed to place the white "cross" piece and then insert f2l pairs. I myself am trying to overcome this, though more with the second block. Try pairing a corner with its corresponding "cross" piece instead.
2) work on the EO. You should become more familiar with the cases and also begin to know what cases will come next.

3x3 30s Average of 5 Help please!!!

Tell me what to improve please. Almost all of my PLLs and OLLs are under 3 sec. I`m using 1-look PLL and 2-look OLL.

Help me improve on my time?

I've been cubing for about a month now. Here is a video of one of my solves:

I am currently learning the Fridrich method and can do F2L in about a minute, so I am going to improve my time on that before I apply it to my cubing.

Anything you could say about my cubing, my mistakes, what I did right/wrong? Thank you :)

ALSO: This is a rubik's brand rubiks cube, I ordered a dayan 3x3, lanlan 2x2, and a QJ Pillowed 4x4 that should be coming soon.

Could you critique and rate my average again please?

Well, cross needs to be more efficient, keep trying to lower the movecount. You turn slow but you didn't look for the other pieces. Bear in mind to constantly solve something, even if you have to slow down your turning. LL algs can be postponed, but definitely turn faster during PLL. And that cat <3

Woah Nakajima doppelganger. Anyway you need to optimize your cross. You make mistakes even when you're turning so slowly. Your F2L lookahead is good, time to increase your turning speed a little at a time and keep trying to lookahead. Turn faster during PLL, it's the last step and you have nothing left to lookahead except probably AUF.
