Hey, so I have a couple questions about the different WCA events that I was wondering the answer to:

Which WCA event is the least developed?
Which WCA event would be the easiest to get a WR average for in 2024?
Which event requires the most algorithms to get decent at?
Which event requires the least algorithms to get decent at?

Thank in advance 😁

MBLD

clock
Which event requires the most algorithms to get decent at?
Depends on your definition of algorithm and your definition of decent, but I'd say squan
Which event requires the least algorithms to get decent at?
Clock

(My opinions; others may have other opinions)

Which WCA event is the least developed?

I would say 5BLD; not many people
even do this event.

Which WCA event would be the easiest to get a WR average for in 2024?

I would say maybe skewb?… although no event is easy to get a WR in.

Which event requires the most algorithms to get decent at?

I would say SQ-1 or 3x3.

Which event requires the least algorithms to get decent at?

Skewb.

Regs made clock easier than it was in previous years, and even though the WR is already with pushing pins in inspection, there hasn't really ben a lot of opportunity for a good clock WR to be set with these standards.

Skewb.
Clock requires 0

Easily false, Skewb requires lots of algs similar to 2x2. There is the NS alg set which already has 134ish algs, and skewbers will learn more alg sets like EG-2 and TCLL. They may also learn alternate algs for NS for can cancellation purposes.

Add all these up and your looking at 300+ from the average world class solvers,

I forgot about that new regulation.

Yeah, but its notation is extremely weird; skewb’s is easy.

You can get decent at skewb with only 1-2 algs learned.

Sarah's intermediate already has 11 algs.

Sarah's advanced needs a bunch
Yes I know all the algs comprise of sledges and hedges, but considering you need to recognizes a bunch of different cases to know what order of sledge and hedge to do, I think it could count as many different algs.

Dominic Redisi said that Sarah's Advanced is needed for sub-4.

Skewb is definitely an event where algs are needed.
