So currently there is no standardized system for rotations on pyraminx. This is kind of a problem for communicating solutions to other people. Not anymore!

This notation system is very simple, it consists only of (r)(l)(u)(b) and their inverses. An (r) turn is simply a rotation in the direction of a regular R turn, which can also be expressed as R Lw'. In case further clarification is needed:

When an (l') rotation is performed:
All L moves remain as L moves.
All R moves become U moves.
All U moves become B moves.
All B moves become R moves.

Got it? I think if this system can be agreed upon it should make things a lot easier. This also gives pyrasim a basis for rotations as well, since I know that not having rotations is a problem with the current version.

good, but this conflicts with the system of turning the corners (at least on CCT) Is this only on notation for CCT, or am a correct?

Uh, corners are shown with a lowercase letter. Rotations would be shown with a lowercase letter in parentheses.

u' = Up corner turned counterclockwise.
(u') = Puzzle rotated as if doing a U' with the whole puzzle.

David, is that correct?
