One-Answer Software Question Thread

Standard Deviation - basically, the closer the number is to 0, the more consistent your solves are.

I need to generate algorithms for when all edges are oriented, a belt is solve, but the edges can be in any position, so long as they are in their correct layer on cube explorer. Any idea how to do this? I'm having problems

What are you trying to do? If it's what I think you are doing, you can just do COLL twice with two parity algs that appear 3/4 the time (parity= M U M' for edges and R U' R' U' R U R' U2 R U' R'(+inverse) for the corners)+PLL twice

But this is basically the belt method.

in cube explorer how to make it 2 gen or 3 gen
Make sure at leaat one of the cubies (a whole piece) is not filled in. Then, when you click "solve," a window will pop up with a bunch of algs generating. At the bottom, check the faces you wish to exclude (for an R, U 2-gen alg, exclude B, L, F, and D). Then close out of that popup window, and regenerate those algs with the new settigs.

Hi, looking for a 1x3x3 scrambler & timer.
I know qqTimer has a 1x3x3 scrambler but it only does half turns.
The one I bought can do quarter turns.

edit:
just realised I could kinda just do 3x3 scrambler ignoring F and B

Hi, I'm looking for OO 4x4x4 & 5x5x5 each 3+1 versions. There was links for them, but it seems to be dead. (not working for me)
I have no idea why the links are closed. How can I download these files?

Is there a 3x3 sim that:
- Uses keyboard controls (normal, not kSim, unless you can define your own)
- Doesn't lag
- Lets you use both M and Uw moves
- Doesn't require Java, like hi-games

I use csTimer at the moment, but that lags a lot, and sometimes gives me the same scramble twice. qCube doesn't have M/Uw moves, and kSim doesn't have Uw. hi-games just doesn't work for me at the moment.
