OK, its been a few years and I tried again to find this sub-method, I managed to find some saved pages from the site, but the full site is scrubed from the internet and as far as I know nobody else has mentioned it. So I've recreated it and for posterity will describe it here:....Does anyone know the site, or better yet, know the 6 algs?
3x3x2 - Last Five Corners:
If solving layer-by-layer, when the first layer is almost finished and you have just one corner on top still to solve, place that in the Back Left position (and place the empty slot in the Front Right), then look at the corners that are in the top Front and Right. From the combination of these corners you can then solve the last 1st layer corner and all top layer corners in one of 6 easy algs. Which just leaves EPLL as the final stage.
On the Front layer check if the corners are Opposite colours, Adjacent, or the same (headlights), then check the Right side and do this:
Opp/Adj: U2 R U R U' R
Adj/Opp: y' U2 R U' R U R
Adj/Same: (U R U' F) x2 - or - U R D' r U R U' r
Same/Adj: (U' F U R) x2 - or - D' r U R U' r D R
Same/Same: (R U R U' R) y' U (R U' R U R)
Opp/Opp: (L U' R U') (L U R U) L
