My lube method, anyone else do the same?

Most cubers disassemble their cubes completely, spray every side every which way and let the pieces dry for a few hours. While this method is super effective and highly recommended it is time consuming and boring :) I figured I could do away with some of the hassle so I came up with my own thing and am now wondering how many of you do the same.

I have a can of silicon lube (Golden Eagle - guaranteed to lubricate plastic, rubber, metal & wood). I spray a little lube into a bottle cap, then, with only the middle cube layer rotated 45°, I use a small water coloring brush to paint the visible black internal edges with lube. If the brush is small enough you can push lube in between the actual cube pieces. I then repeat the process with the cube rotated 90° (x rotation)

I've been doing this recently instead of disassmbely and spraying and I can pretty much lube 90% of my cube in 30-60 seconds. I have to say though it does not last as long but considering the time savings is well worth it.

Anyone do anything similar?

Your way works, but it isn't necessary. I never understood why people take apart the cube and spray all the pieces individually. I do the same as Joey, just pop a piece, spray, put it back in, and start solving. Sometimes I do it twice, and it works perfectly fine. Silicon spray also evaporates quickly, so spraying it into a puddle in the cap will make you go through a can a lot quicker.

I take mine right apart for one reason: Jigaloo will eat your cube away if left in puddles using the pop a corner method. I used to just pop a corner and edge and spray it in but I found it was killing my cube so now I do the dissassemble method with a wipe down before (for the gunk) and after (for the excess). It really doesn't take much time and only needs to be done after few weeks.
