My 6×6 Journey – Chasing the sub - 2 dream

6 by 6 example solve

Hello guys whats up,

Today i solved 6 by 6 using Yau method combined with half center technique.

Steps of solving-
First 2 centers
4 cross edges
remaining centers using half center approach- solving all the centers together rather than one by one.
then 4 edges (containing 2 f2l pair edges)
Insert 2 f2l pairs
Solving remaining 4 edges
Insert remaining 2 f2l pairs
solve remaining cube using 3 by 3 any method

I have also created a playlist which contains all big cube solve using Yau with half centers.

video link:

Playlist link:
I am going to apply this same approach till 20 by 20! So more solves are coming soon.

Thank you and happy cubing!

Thank you 🥰, for speedcubing i use reduction method, but i also love to explore and apply methods like petrus and yau with half centers in big cubes, in 15 by 15 once i applied yau with half center method it looks amazing and satisfying to watch (all the centers at once), but maybe i will unable to upload any big cube solve videos in upcoming 1st or 2nd weeks because of my major project presentations and end term exams.

Hello guys whats up!

Today is my birthday (26/11) and today was my computer networks lab exam as well as advance dsa quiz and both went good. So in happiness and enjoyment i solved 20 by 20 using yau with half center technique. And i am surprised i solved it under 3 hours, because my timing in 20 by 20 before was above 4 hours but sub 5 hours using reduction method.

Soon i will be uploading more solves in youtube, till 20 by 20 line wise, I have created 3 playlists in youtube,1. Petrus method walkthrough solves in big cubes, 2. Reduction method solves in big cubes and 3. yau with half centers. Right now my focus is to fill up the playlists and make it interesting for you guys, then i will share all the playlists in reddit and here also, so that you guys can explore, and enjoy my solves.
i will keep uploading the videos, and then the link.

Also guys tell me one thing, i know there are very less people who actually see full big cube solves for understanding and learning, but big cubes are also very satisfying to solve i am thinking to upload solves in fast forward 3 x, but i think the quality will drop, i am confused.

Thank you and Happy cubing!

6 by 6 example solve (Reduction method)
Hello guys!

This is 6 by 6 walkthrough solve using redux method, descent center building, edge paring ok ok not so efficient, and then 3 by 3 by 2 look CFOP. And i think lighting is too much in this video, next time i will take care of it.

More walkthrough solves and my 6 by 6 time updates are coming soon.

Thank you guys and happy cubing!

6 by 6 Example solve (using Petrus method)-

Hello guys whats up!

Another walkthrough solve of 6 by 6 using petrus method.

I want to ask one thing, when i solve last 2 edges using an OLL algo, so it is very inefficient in big cubes there are lot of inner slice moves that i have to perform, also i execute it randomly again and again i mean i know how it works but it is very frustrating in big cubes, is there any other efficient way to solve last two edges?

Another example solve of 4 by 4 using EAC method:

This is a slow solve easy to follow

6 by 6 solve using EAC method-

Hello guys this is a 6 by 6 solve using EAC method. This is more of a speed solve not very efficient, also I made a lot of mistake while building blocks.

6 BY 6 UPDATE- 2000 SOLVES COMPLETED

Hello viewers!

I have completed 2000 solves, There is only one solve between 1900 and 2000 under 3 minutes i guess 2 min 58 sec or something which is a bad sign, i tried very hard to get under 2 min 47 sec but failed. i guess 2 min 47 sec solve was a lucky one. Lets see in future because miracle happens.

6 by 6 centers only solve-

Hello guys!

I have my few cuber friends who are new in big cubes, and the most complex part that they feel is the centers.

And centers is the most comfortable part for me and I love solving centers.

So I got an idea of making a dedicated playlist only for centers where I will upload center building solves till 7 by 7, to help those who want to explore or learn block building techniques.

In this playlist I will upload solves only till 7 by 7 because beyond 7 by 7 majority of the cubers don't use block building. Also If I am not wrong in competitions also limit is till 7 by 7.

So, by this you will see what is my approach and thought process while building centers.

More solves coming soon!
Till then stay tuned and happy cubing.

High-level 6 BY 6 Centers - Pure Execution

Hello guys, whats up!

Here are four 6 by 6 solves, and in this video i have done many interesting blockbuilding techniques you can watch closely, i think the scrambles are lucky i dont know but there are very good cases.

I am not focusing on time but on efficient solution, also these are not a one right way to build centers.

6 BY 6 UPDATE- 2200 SOLVES COMPLETED

Hi guys!

After a long time, here is an another update.

I have now completed 2200 solves in my non-magnetic 6 by 6 and my mean is also improved. Progress is very slow but i am really excited that i have made my 6 by 6 journey this far. But this is not the end. I am super excited and curious, that when i will buy a magnetic 6 by 6 what will be the results.

Till now i have got only 7 times sub 3 out of 2200 solves, which is crazy. Lets see how much it increases.

6 BY 6 UPDATE WITH A SMALL ANOUNCEMENT - 2310 SOLVES COMPLETED

Hi guys!

I have completed 2310 solves, and from 2200 to 2300 solves i have seen some serious improvement.

My mean is improved and from 2290 to 2300 i have seen that i have got some continuous solves under 3 min 20 seconds.

1775390494217.png

And here is the most amazing thing, in my last update you have seen that i have got 7 solves under 3 minutes, but now I have got 13 solves under 3 min, 6 solves more.

So these 100 solves are very special for me.

Small Anouncement-

On this tuesday, New cube is coming guys 🥳

DianSheng Galaxy 5 by 5 mirror cube (Purple version).

I have no experience in mirror cubes, i mean i know how to solve 3 by 3 mirror cube.

I was confused whether i will buy a magnetic 6 by 6 or this galaxy 5 by 5.
But next time i will buy magnetic 6 by 6 for sure.

More updates coming soon

Till then stay tuned!

6 by 6 One Handed (First Solve)

Thanks Jared for suggesting me this challenge, really loved it bro.

On a non magnetic cube it's a bit challenging and a new experience for me, And now i will try to reduce this time.

6 BY 6 UPDATE- 2500 SOLVES

Hello guys!

2500 solves done and now i am touching Sub 3 very frequently, which is a good sign.

Only drawback is that i have to adjust my 6 by 6 again and again with a lube then only sub 3 comes 😂

I dont think so that my cube will go beyond 3000 solves, it's in a bad shape now, but i am excited to see how far it goes.
