MoYu WeiLong Review! – LACuber (new cubing channel)

Hi everyone,

I have started a new youtube channel, LACuber.
Today I uploaded my first real video, a MoYu WeiLong v1 Review! Enjoy!
I also uploaded an introduction to my channel, it would be great if you check that out too.

If you liked the video(s), be sure to like, comment and subscribe! Thanks.

Thank you for watching and see you in the next video! :D

I had to make sure that you weren't copying cyoubx word for word. The unoriginality in the design of the video detracts from the quality, in my opinion. It's still pretty good, though, and I'll subscribe for now.

thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I'll have to think of some more originality, but to be fair, cyoubx' reviews are just the best. My review was a bit different though, like that part about the WR average at the beginning and generally my opinion. Thanks for subbing! :D

Subscribed right when I saw the intro. Your channel looks really really presentable!

The transitions are very smooth, the video quality is fabulous, and the video is very clean I guess you could say. It's simplistic, and the words don't take up much of the screen and that's good. And I loved the review, it was great! Do you think you could do the Fangshi Shuangren v2 next?

Thank you! Does anyone else have any feedback?

Nice review, it was short and concise and you didn't waffle. But I would say that you shouldn't try and sound dramatic (at least that's how I thought you sounded like). You should make your voice sound more natural, like you would when having a conversation with a friend.

This thread is pretty old, but Ill put in my 2 cents for the V2.

This cube is more noisier than the Dayan and Fangshi cubes. It can easily corner cut 45 degrees, and is extremely fast, which may lead to often overshoots. It has a nice crispy/crunchy feel to it like the Zhanchi.
It might just be my puzzle, but the red and orange center caps frequently pop off when I turn extremely fast. The stock stickers are a lot better than the standard stock stickers nowadays.
I'd recommend the V2 Moyu Weilong mostly for sub-20 cubers, maybe even 20-30 seconds, but NOOO for 30+. This cube is simply way too quick and it will significantly ruin your lookahead if you don't have enough practice with lookahead already.

Thank you all for the great feedback! It helps me a lot. I'll see what I can do about the voice. What videos do you want next?
It'd be great if you share my channel with friends, since these video take a long time an the more people that watch my video the more motivation I have. Thanks! :D

Oh and, do you have any ideas to steer away from the cyoubx format without reducing the quality of my videos?

edit: I don't have a fangshi v2, but could get one. What do you guys think, should I get the fangshi or another cube to unbox and review on my channel?

It would be great to see some new and original content. Reviews of cubes nearly a year old are a bit stale. Your videos are good quality and it would be great to see you review the Baijie when it comes out. Maybe also the new Gans, mini Weilong, etc.

Also it doesn't have to be reviews. You could talk about methods, algs/tricks, assembly/lube, hot topics like WCA regulations, or even rants - the fresher and newer, the more interesting it will be.

I agree with Soren333 about your voice - the style is a bit irritating.

I have 5 V1's. None of them are for the right cube for me. Indeed a lot of overshooting and I am getting bad times because I am more focusing on controlling it than on look ahead. BUT.. I have one V2, a stickerless one... I have done about two thousand solves on it (or even more) and it is the best damn cube I have ever seen. I was so excited that I ordered a black one immediatly. The black one has not arrived yet. I really really hope it solves the same as my stickerless V2. If so I do not ever need a new cube :)

Thank you so much for the constructive input! The Baijie is a good idea, I'll be sure to get it when it comes out. It looks very interesting . . .
Also, as mentioned in the intro video, I want to do a "Tune my cube" series. Maybe a stickering tutorial in combination with a sticker/shop review? Also, once I have more time I will be probably doing an OLL and PLL trainer.
My next video will probably still be a WeiSu review, just to get more practice with reviews. After that, stay tuned for all kinds of videos. Maybe a rant about the WCA? Or a tutorial on CFOP? Or the "Tune my Cube" series? Stay tuned!
Yeah, many people have been mentioning my voice, I will definitely work on it in the next video!
