  • 3x3: I use the GAN 11M Duo. I chose it because at the time I got it the GAN 11M Pro was GAN's flagship cube, and I thought the Duo was just a cheaper alternative which is basically the same. I use CFOP with white/yellow cross, intermediate F2L, 2-look OLL and full PLL. I average 35 seconds.
  • 2x2: I use the YJ MGC Elite. I chose it because I wanted to get the entire MGC lineup, but now that I have it I think I should have gone for the Valk or maybe the GAN 251M (I heard they're really good). I use Ortega. I am color neutral with the first face, and for the last 5 faces I basically use 3 extra algs and for the rest I repurpose my 3x3 algs. I average 12 seconds.
  • 4x4: I use the YJ MGC. Again, I chose it because I wanted to get the entire MGC lineup, but unlike for the 2x2 I really like it. I use Yau with white/yellow first center, and 3-2-3 edge pairing. For my average, funny story: there was a long period of time when I haven't done a single timed 4x4 solve. Before that period of time, I averaged 3:30, so I told people that's what I average. But then, I have done a timed 4x4 solve, and it turned out my average was a whole minute below what I thought it was. So yeah, I average 2:30 on 4x4.
  • 5x5: I use the YJ MGC. I heard it's...like...equally good as the Valk and it's way cheaper, so that's why I chose it. For my method, I am kind of torn between Reduction and Yau5, and I basically use the one I feel like using. But I think if I was competing in 5x5 I would use Reduction, so that's what I am going to say here. I use Reduction with color neutral first center, and freeslice edge pairing. I average around 4:30.
  • 6x6: I use the YJ MGC because I heard it's pretty much the best 6x6 on the market and it only costs $25. I use Reduction with white/yellow first center (I would be color neutral if I was more familiar with the color scheme) and freeslice edge pairing. I average around 10:00.
  • 7x7: I use the YJ MGC, you know the drill. I use Reduction with color neutral first center and freeslice edge pairing. I don't do it very often, as it's my least favorite NxN because it's so time-consuming. I'm in the same situation as I was with 4x4, where I don't know what I average because I didn't do a timed solve in a while. But last time I solved it timed (way back in August), it took me 25 minutes, so I would bet I average 15-20 minutes now.
  • 3x3 blindfolded: I use the same cube as I use for 3x3, the GAN 11M Duo, which technically means all my blind solves would break the regulations in a comp because it has a logo. I use the Old Pochmann method with some extra algs for flipping edges/corners. Technically, I average DNF, because I only had one success in my life and I've tried it way more than one time.
  • 3x3 fewest moves: I don't have a main for FMC, because it's impossible to have one. I also don't have a method for FMC. The techniques I know are CFOP, Blockbuilding, EO, Psuedo-blocks and NISS. I also average DNF here because the one time I have tried it I have accidentally written down the wrong solution...oops
  • 3x3 one handed: I use the GAN 354M V2 (why do cube names need to have M V2 on the end of them?). I have exactly zero techniques specifically for OH, but I do know some basic fingertricks. I use my left hand, because the algs are easier to do with the same grip as 3x3. I average around 1:30.
  • Clock: Believe it or not, clock is actually quite fun for me! I use the QiYi clock and if you don't know why you probably don't do clock. I use the Clochmann method which is literally the beginner method, the intermediate method, the advanced method, it's all of them. That's what I like about clock, there are no new algs to learn or anything like that. I average around 25 seconds.
  • Megaminx: I use the GAN megaminx. People are divided on what the best megaminx is, so I just chose this one because it's from GAN :). Apparently megaminx methods don't have names, so I'm just going to say I use Westlund S2L + Beginner last layer (2 EO algs, beginner method corner twisting, 2 EP algs, commutators for CP). I am not color neutral, I always do white first, then yellow, then purple, then green. I average around 3:30 and I don't get people who say 5x5 is easier than megaminx because of that.
  • Pyraminx: I use the GAN pyraminx enhanced. I used to hate pyraminx, but now it's growing on me. I use an intuitive L4E method where I make a V, then solve the front-bottom edge into the back, then do an alg to solve the rest. I average around 30 seconds (I know, I'm slow).
  • Skewb: The only skewb I have is the GAN skewb enhanced. Might seem good on the surface, until you realize how easy the skewb is to drop. One time, I was solving it outside when I accidentally dropped it straight on the sidewalk, which put a dent in it so it's not comp legal anymore. Later, I accidentally dropped it into sand, and we had to clean it, which destroyed all the lube in it. Oops. Anyway, I use Sarah's beginner, and average around 30, except the skewb I use is not comp legal as I said before so you can judge for yourself.
  • Square-1: I use a YJ MGC square-1 where I am currently in the process of turning the yellow side into black. I use a basic method I came up with by putting together some of the algs in this sheet: https://www.kungfoomanchu.com/guides/andy-klise-square-1.pdf . I average around 1:30.
  • 4x4 blindfolded: I don't know how to do it...
  • 5x5 blindfolded: Same...
  • 3x3 multiblind: I tried to do it...once...and failed...I had parity on both cubes...oops... (oh btw I used roman rooms for that)

Quite the GAN supporter

Cool! Nice to see a new cuber. Those seem like some really good mains, and some of those methods seem farther along than I use. It seems like a very detailed post, which I love. How long ago did you start cubing?
Depends on what you mean. The first time I got into cubing was 2 or 3 years ago, but I just considered it a skill, not a main hobby of mine. I wasn't into speedsolving at all, and the only puzzles I could solve were a 3x3, 2x2 and 4x4. A few months later, I quit. I even forgot how to solve a cube. I only got back into cubing this may, which I just realized is LESS THAN 6 MONTHS AGO. I only got back into it because a J Perm video kept popping into my recommendations. At this point, I realized what cubing actually was, and it became my main hobby. I still can't believe I literally went from not knowing how to solve a 3x3 to knowing how to solve all the WCA puzzles in just 3 months.

Cool! It's really impressive that you managed to learn most of that in 6 months! (It took me just under two years to learn all that, and for BLD I'm still learning.)

Cool details. I hope you get involved in 4BLD and 5BLD some time in the future.

So I guess this is kinda a member intro? If it is, welcome!! Pretty impressive lineup of skill (and cubes) you have. Sub 35 in 6 month with learning every other wca events is impressive. Hope you have a good time in the forums!!
Yeah kinda. The reason I didn't make it one is because I already have one. I have already mentioned it earlier in the thread, but here it is: https://www.speedsolving.com/threads/my-intro.85556/
