Hello everyone I'm new to the forums so if there is a post on this already I'm sorry. I use lubix and I love it but I've notice after about 2 or3 week I've notice it becomes a little gummy and acctually slows down a little bit. Is this normal and does it mean that it is desolving the cube? Also what can I do about it? should I just add more lubix or clean it all out then put more? Any suggestions and or reasons for this?

Thanks again for your time,
Iseldoff

No, just cube through it. It will vary from day to day due to humidity and temperature. Even if you have you injected too much, it will dry and be fine after a time. Be patient and listen to your cube.

Don't worry about the plastic; Lubix can't melt it. tellers advice is good, but what I do every so often is wipe the pieces down (I'm lazy so I just do it on the inside of my t-shirt) and then put a tiny touch more in (I find with lubix, just a tiny abount is best.

Don't add to it because that makes it worse. What is likely happening is that the silicone is collecting the plastic debris from normal cube use. I suggest keeping it like that for a while longer then clean it out with a wash cloth or a sock! (odder still wants me to do the sock vid. I know I know). You don't need to disassemble the entire cube just take the pieces apart and clean the surfaces. After that do not add lube yet! Put your cube back together. Take out one corner (only 1) and lube the surfaces 'lightly'. Put the corner back in and work the lube in..... it will be extremely sexy!

wish i had lubix.... im stuck with crc silicone....

anyway, when my cube starts slowing down i just pay more attention to it for a couple days and if it doesn't get better or i see the pieces are really dirty i just clean the pieces and stuff and re lube it.

Go to competitions (and compete of course), buy cubes from other people. There is bound to be at least one person willing to sell a used cube (that is obviously lubed).
