So with Christmas coming up and my fiance is bugging me to giver her something for her to get me.

While there are other thing on the list, I was wondering if there is a 9x9x9 cube available or was that just the hoax one that Tony Fisher made?

Where would I get one, if they are available, and about how much would it cost?

Also, if there is no 9x9x9, where would one order the 11x11x11

Thanks

I thought that v-Cube made the higher order cubes, but couldn't find a purchase link on their website which is why I was asking.

Not sure if your joking but, I'm pretty sure you are.

But I don't want to mislead the OP. We've been waiting for those cubes for years, don't expect to see them any time soon.

I did not know that, but, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say: if the V-cube people would just make the higher order cubes it would be the equivalent of them printing money for them to fill a pool and go swimming in cash.

It's this kind of crap that causes KOs in the first place.

I have just lost all hope in V-cubes. They will never make any other cubes again and I can't wait for shenshou to make a 7x7 so I don't have to deal with my V7.

To the OP

Just get a KO. You be happy with it. Go look for it and if you still can't find some then feel free to PM me so I can give you links.

I'm sure there are millions of people willing to spend hundreds of dollars on V-11s which will suck and take ages to solve.
Oh wait, no there aren't. There isn't really much of a demand for cubes in general and the average speedcuber will be happy enough to solve one at a comp when they get the opportunity.
So who does that leave to actually buy these cubes? A few hundred people? A thousand maybe?
Out of those how many already own the KO? Probably quite a lot. I've spent thousands of pounds on cubes and I won't be buying anything bigger than a 7x7x7.

To sum up, I wouldn't dive into that pool without a heavy duty crash helmet on.

Actually it's more of a taboo to talk abpout KO puzzles at the twistypuzzles forum, especially because lots of the people there actually are puzzle designers and not solely (speed)solvers. Anyway, there are a few suppliers of 6x6x6 and 7x7x7 that you can find with a little searching. Mostly they are better than V equivalents out of the box. But fully modified V cubes are for the most part better. It is even possible to purchase such premodified cubes ...

I actually agree that higher order than 7 is getting boring and tedious - just more of the same. And there will NEVER be official events for such cubes :D
