I bought a (white) Eastsheen 2x2 yesterday. Using no method, just intuition from a 3x3, Im getting 20-30 second solves. Unacceptable.

What is a good speedsolving method out there. Can someone gives opinions and a quick explanation of my options?

Go for Ortega first, that's pretty fast and you don't need to learn that much. Once you can do that move on to Guimond, which is partly the same and is really fast. You can find tutorials on each on the How to and Guide section of the forum. :)

i wonder why people don't use the search function three links from the right.

Well since you noticed the search function, maybe you noticed my whole WHOPPING 11 posts under my name. Im new here and wasn't aware of teh search function.
With that being said, I apologized for hopelessly cluttering your forum beyond belief and hope it shall not distress the rest of the cubing community.

Thanks for the methods though.

But seriously, sorry. I'll search next time.

I also apologize for my rudeness towards you, a newcomer. I meant it in a polite way though it came out like that :)

Well, if you're new, you should probably be posting in the beginner's forum.
Or at least you should have read the stickies there, like this one. Especially if you're new to forums. ;)

It's not really about you not knowing these things, it's a lot of new members hopelessly cluttering every last conversational resort of the cubing community.

Nevertheless, thanks for planning to use the search function!

Someday, we'll probably just ask PJK to have members check boxes agreeing that they understand posting etiquette here, and find ways to make them actually understand things...

No need to switch to Guimond...I don't feel like switching and I almost sub-5...
