Is popbuying.com a trustable store? Are they trying to scam me?

Personally when I contacted them about taking long to collect products, they told me one item was out of stock and they were waiting on it, and also that they'll send a partial shipment of everything but the out of stock item immediately (Which they did). They said they'd send the last item later (they did that too), and they came in under a week of having been shipped.

Also, one of my items was missing a set of screws/springs, I contacted them about that and they sent me two sets to make up for it.

I think they have rather good service <_<

This issue can easily be fixed by adding a disclaimer at the time of purchase. I'd say 2 weeks for free shipping is decent. I paid $9.xx USD for shipping here from 9spuzzles (I live in Indiana). It took a bit less than two full weeks (by two days or something) to get here.

So yes, two weeks for free shipping is easily "ok" in my opinion, especially when you consider the fact I paid almost $10 for two week shipping.

I meant to simply collect the items (which the TC is having problems with).

2-2.5 (maybe even 3) weeks to make it ALL the way to america seems within decency to me. But just to collect? no.

I thought this was about shipping as a whole was what this was about. Whoops, noob mistake I'll quietly remove myself from this discussion now No honestly though, 9spuzzles had it shipped in like 3 days or something, I believe. He was pretty awesome about it, noticed my shipping address was different than my paypal address so he told me so I could tell him which to ship to.

Anyway, two weeks to collect the items does seem rather steep. If all he were to do 8 hours a day is collect these puzzles and box them up, you'd figure it wouldn't take that long even if he had a huge order list. But if he's the only one in his business, that means he also has to do all his paper work, his own shipping and receiving, etc. So I don't know. Either way if he's cheap and free shipping, I wouldn't complain

I did make some research into the matter, but you'll have to excuse me:

According to their homepage; the product is in stock yet their order tracking claims that the products need to be "collected", and there is no status updates for over an entire week then there's nothing left but speculations what on Earth is going on in there. I am not one to judge their services. I am purely judging them on their own merits.

If they didn't give me a reason to worry this thread wouldn't exist.

I have ordered from serveral Chinese and Cantonese sites before and after 2-3 days after the order has been sent the thing gets shipped.
Forgive me, but "collecting" items for over a week is new to me.

Often when they say an item is in stock, they really mean that their supplier is in stock.

I have ordered a lot of times from them and have had no major problems. My last order was the "crazy 2x3x3" and they sent me two instead of just one.

It is free shipping and dirt cheap. If you can't wait for the puzzles, you should pay a lot more and get it from a site with faster shipping.

As for me, I don't mind the slow (often 2 weeks) shipping as I am satisfied with the price.

Also, if you go to the china post tracking site (only in chinese), you can track the packages before they arrive in your country. I found that the biggest consumer of time was china post taking a long time to ship after receiving the package from popbuying. Once the package lands in Japan, it is usually at my house within 24 hours.

Yes Popbuying/DX are slow. Waiting a week is nothing. That's why their cubes cost less than $5. They're badass and don't give a ****.

I've never ordered from popbuying but i think dealextreme is almost the same as popbuying. I've ordered from dealextreme a few times and it still said processing for a few days. It was collecting for about a week (i think) and it shipping took like 2.5 weeks. It was decent for free shipping. I would have expected a lost during shipping (which would be horrible) or more than a month.

Your idea of business can't be that great. If you're not getting paid extra to do something, it's not the top of your priority list. That's how life works.

i agree. if its free shipping, that means they will ship it when they want to. you have not paid for the privilege of priority shipping and so must accept that they will ship it when they want to, regardless of what you want.

Lol I placed an order a little over a month ago. When I finally contacted them about it (for the second time) I almost felt as if they forgot about it, because a day after they replied it was shipped and should be here in ... oh, another 2 weeks

so either my cubes were out of stock and i have good timing.... or they forgot my order twice and finally shipped it on the 3rd complaint.

There's your problem. Their cubes might be in stock, but when you order cubs they have to go into the forest and take them. It's a dangerous and time-consuming process because if they alert the mother they will probably end up hurt. So, just give them time, and sooner or later the cubs you have ordered will safely arrive.

Have they been "Collecting" my products for over a week?
I get really suspicious when there's no order update for over a week and what really makes me paranoid is the fact that the products I ordered were (accordingly to the homepage) in stock.

Has anyone here had experience with popbuying.com? Does it take them 2 weeks to "Collect" the products? Should I cancel the order all together or should I give them another week and see if something happends?

Chinese New Years... They are on vacation until around after this weekend. It's a pretty big celebration.
