[Help Thread] Impossible Puzzle State

I'm pretty sure one of my pieces edge pieces is twisted on the last layer of the megaminx. I do the L algorithm and the bar algorithm to try and get the grey star. But only four grey pieces are up right.
Yes, you have a flipped edge.

Is it me, or is my square 1 impossible to solve? It has 2 blue red yellow corners, and 2 red-green-white corners.

Getting into 15 puzzle, but mines weird.

Is this solvable?

I have solved a 7x7 cube multiple times. Now I cant solve because I am getting a PLL parity. It is happening every time I try to solve it. Any advice?

I think you should do the parity algorithm, the parity algorithm is the same as the 4x4 Pll parity alg with some modifications.

edit : odd layered cubes like the 3x3 doesn't have parity, you'll have to swap the pieces by taking the pieces out.

When I try to attach pics I get an error that the file is too large. It looks just like a pll parity with the 4x4x4.

It sounds like you have an unsolvable state. You'll have to partially disassemble the cube and physically swap the two edge pieces that need to be swapped (you can do 3R2 F2 U2 3R2 R2 U2 F2 3R2 to swap the wings).

Alternatively, if you're using a cube without coloured centre pieces, cycle four of the centre caps (e.g. white-green-yellow-blue) and re-solve.

No not yet. Honestly, I dont know how. However, I believe my son may have messed with the center pieces. I found them off of the cube yesterday. I put them back perfectly. I do know how they could be messed up. Its yellow on top, white on bottom, and (from left to right) blue, red, green, and orange.

Aaaah, sounds like that's where the problem happened. I suggest cycling the centers in the order @xyzzy suggested. Cycling four centers like that actually causes parity with the edges, even though the centers themselves are correct relative to each other.
