Does it count that I know who Bob Burton is?

Zeroing: This is obviously a joke, but "Zeroing" is also is what I like the to call RUD comm/OLS last slot magic that Feliks used to do sometimes (e.g. link)

Snyder3: Tony Snyder once stated that he is working on the best method ever, which will supposedly be what everyone uses in the future, promising godly ergonomics, insanely fast times and average movecounts in the 30s. Obviously, this method doesn't actually exist.

HK: A method inspired by an April 1st video made by The Cubicle, which is actually not terrible for speedsolving. You start off by building a pEOArrow, then a DougLi block, HKOLL and HKPLL

CFTOP: Cross, F2L, T perm, OLL, PLL: The best method ever, used by Tymon and Tao Yu. Proven to be sub 7-able.

OrtegaZB: No idea, sorry.

The Franciscos: IIRC, you solve first layer minus a certain amount of edges and corners, depending on the method. Then, you do the second layer, and finish off LL+whatever pieces were left unsolved in the first step (again, depending on which of the 3 methods you do).

CDLSS: No idea #2

CFOP: No explanation needed

TICT: ???

Bob Burton: I feel like if you actually use his algs, it would look like you're doing a different method.

OrtegaZB: No idea, sorry.

It’s a revolutionary 2x2 method that honestly has a ton of potential but went unrecognized. You can read about it here:

Woah. Absolutely game-changing, thanks for sharing. This is nuts!

I am learning this method now with the hope that it will be more widely recognised and appreciated!

TICT is a method proposed by Feliks. I don't remember all of the details but I believe that its solving the cube by spamming T-Perms

How much do ray me do you win for being world champion? Is there money in cubing? Max Park $2 million dollars. 🤔

I won 2 board game world championships & 1 European championship at MSO and there was no prize money.

The only reason I won was because better players than me from England & France didn't come - because there was no prize money. 🤣

I think world championship winners do get a prize, I think $30,000? (Considering worlds is every 2 years that’s definitely not enough money to Live off, and it’s also really risky)

That being said, recently Max park got sponsored by Prime, and that is presumably a chance for money, assuming you have enough sponsorships. (Also it’s possible to get sponsored by cube stores, not just criminals)

Interesting. $30000 is massive, however, if 1 person wins it every 2 years - no one is going to make a living from it. How many people have sponsorship I wonder.
When I played board games I had travel costs, hotels, food & drink costs for regional tournaments in UK. The furthest I went was Iceland. Cubers have the extra cost of equipment, and if most are teenagers it would be very expensive.
I see the WC is in Seattle - about as far from Europe as you can get in US and pretty inconvenient for anyone in US. I don' t know how many can compete from 1 country at WC but for game it was 4. When WC was in Australia I don't think anyone went from Britain. Amazing how many cubers there are now with the top 100 for 3x3 all under 5? seconds. Very competitive.
