ZZ Tutorial found here.
But really. Full edge control for LL from standard CFOP is just a waste of time. Whatever algs you learn for some awkward insertions are not going to be better than a quick F sexy F' or the like.
It's a good idea, but is it feasible to use in a solve? That is the question. Here is the video explaining the idea from Josh Lewis on Youtube.

LEt me know thoughts etc, from the community.
I was considering in context with CFOP, because the edges will already be oriented after completion of F2L in ZZ.
So much like X-Cross, if the cases present themselves, execute if it won't overload move count too terribly much?
When the edge in the F2L slot has the U sticker facing the right, and you want to insert the pair with R U' R', check the edge in UL. If its U sticker is facing left, then inserting with U' Sledge will orient those two edges.
Or, simpler, if the edge in the slot is flipped, inserting with sledge guarantees that you won't get a 4 flipped edge OLL.
If you want to be really fancy you can also use it to orient F2L edges to avoid rotations.
I mirror some things to BR. Simple things like sledge for orienting edges, and 2-gen WV cases. I don't usually do anything in BL.Pretty much all the discussion I see of edge control seems to assume the pair is being inserted to FR. I solve to all slots, front and back. Do people use edge control on back slots? I assume mirroring edge control or WV, VHLS etc to FL is easy enough, but what about the back slots?
