Hi all!
Awhile back I ordered a GuHong cube because after looking at its construction, it seemed like it wouldn't lock up as much as my Cube4U cube because of all the rounded "seams" where each cubie contacts the others.
However, after a bit of tinkering, it has sat in a drawer for nearly a year now because I could not get it to feel like anything but a pile of mush. If I try to cut corners with it, the corner piece starts to come free from the other pieces around it, sometimes popping out, but usually just binding and nearly stopping my attempt to turn that side.
I'm not too sad about it because I love my Cube4U cube (though it could use a light sanding and my newly ordered Lubix on it) and I invested in Cubesmith tiles for the C4U. I'm just wondering if anyone has instructions for setting up a DIY GuHong for proper speedcubing where any corner cutting move DOESN'T make you think the cube is about to fall apart in your hands (many times it acutally DOES fall apart!).
Thanks for your help and happy cubing!
