[Help Thread] Cubing Injuries?

My left index finger hurts. Specifically, the knuckle closest to my fingernail.

It started as a dull pain that was only there when I curled it (doing U' for example). I took two or three days off, but it didn't go away. After that, I kept using it hoping that the pain would go away (because that makes sense). It didn't. Yesterday, while I was cubing, the pain changed into a more painful sharp pain. I'm taking at least a week off now.

Does anyone think that doing this will help? Has anyone experienced something similar?
Thanks.

Bump.

Today I loosened my Zhanchi. Tried it out with a T-perm. Three pieces popped out, and one of them hit me in the eye. Still hurts.

This evening, walking down the stairs, I spotted my 4x4 which my wife had put there to try and get me to tidy it away. I bent over to pick it up (so I could do some solves rather than stick it in a drawer) and as I stood back up my feet slipped from under me and I bounced down the remaining stairs on my back. I'm currently using vodka and ibuprofen in an attempt to get pain free enough to sleep.
