I just solve on whatever color has most cross pieces done. Or whichever color is the easiest.

To non color neutral people: If you saw that there was a one move Xcross on a color you don't solve with, would you go for it? XXcross?

A one move xcross yes although it is a gamble to whether I have easy lookahead in F2L. One move cross or cross solved no (from experience). When F2L lags behind 2-3 seconds, the gain from cross being solved at bests makes it a normal solve as if I did a medium difficulty cross on a familiar color. I do think with a little practice on those colors a day I could get to a point where I would take advantage of a 1 move cross but 4 colors is enough for me right now.

Its best to start color neutral. I was origonally a white and yellow side solver before but it took me almost 4, mabye even 5 months to get fully neutral on all 6 sides. If you want to be color neutral, the way to do it is to solve only one color every 3 weeks. What im saying is that say you want to also be able to solve on the red side. Only solve on red for about 3 weeks and then you will be really comfortable. You have to not solve on white or yellow for the whole entire process. Only solve on the other colors. Solve on blue for the first 3 weeks, then red for 3 weeks, then orange for 3 weeks then green for 3 weeks. Leave the last 6 weeks for white and yellow. Do this and you will become color neutral.

I am the least color neutral person on this entire forum.

I use Petrus, but always solve the same blocks in the same order. :tu

Now I am color neutral.
When I started, I used the Rubik's guide so I used white. Stuck with that for a while until I found out that yellow was easy. Then I wanted to have easier crosses so I took two weeks and became color neutral :)

Im always starting with red... it seems very unusual... but when i learned begginers methods, the page from i learned it started with red!!!!, so i also did it... now i'm trying to get orange-red color neutral but i most of the times choose the red... i once tried to start with white, but it was a disaster so i quit...

I can start on all colors except yellow and orange. If i can't find a good cross in the fifteen seconds i just default to blue

... so you still have 3 sets of E layer colors, but only 4 cross colors? That sounds... not good. Why don't you just decide to become CN? It wouldn't even be that tough for you to switch if you can solve with any color pair on U/D.

Bi colour neutral, but I only choose yellow if it's very easy, or if white is very bad, it's pretty rare.
I think it gets easier to switch as you get better, so I'm going to switch after I'm sub-10 on white.

Most people agree that its easier to switch the slower you are. You should probably just either switch now or never switch if you don't care that much.
