Hi guys,

I am currently practicing a new method (for me) for OH: YruRU/CEOR (which I really like btw!), and even if my times are slow mostly due to my turning (ahem, 40s), I tried to practice another color than the one I am used to (orange/white), the goal being to be x2y but starting with y2 first.

But I noticed that my times are getting worse, as I am not yet used to the recognition. So my question is: when do you think one should make such a change?
I am wondering if it would not be best to wait longer in order to better develop some reflexes with the method, and practice other orientations later.
But in the same time, this may take some time to get rid of the habits developed this way (getting too used to recognizing some pieces at a certain step for example), so I am not too sure...

I know that some people are CN from the start (with one specific method), some which keep on solving with only one orientation (ex: white cross for CFOP users) with good success, and some which become CN after quite some time.
So of course it must depend on the person as well, but I would be glad to read your thoughts about this please. Thanks!
