Recently I've been trying to learn Mandarin Chinese.
I started because a few jocks in one of my classes were being racist and excusing it by saying they were trying to learn Chinese, so I became interested in how one would genuinely go about learning Chinese. I've now fallen down a rabbit hole and become enthralled with the language.

Ustedes is also you all, but formal in contrast to casual vosotros. Also, vosotros is used exclusively in Spain, so ustedes is practically just you all without any connotation of formal or informal.
in Spanish classes in our high school here, we were taught kinda the opposite:
USTEDES is used for informal plural YOU
whereas
VOSOTROS is the formal (and literary) form and rarely used

Most conversatuons don't include meeting the governor (or the Pope) so most of the time all one gears is USTEDES

I'm kinda late for the conversation but I speak English (my first language) and I'm currently learning German. I don't know a lot yet, but I'm improving!
