Any tips for 3x3 BLD?

Title says it all.

I beg to differ. What do you want tips on? Learning 3BLD? Becoming more consistent at successes at a beginner level? How to learn M2? Best way to learn all those 3-style algs? Getting sub-1:00?

Help can’t be given unless you’re more specific. Imagine if someone came on the forums and said “tips for 3x3?” Someone may link a beginners method tutorial and another may link a “how to be sub-10” video. We can’t provide proper help unless you give us a bit more detail

Alright, I just started learning 3x3 BLD, and I need some tips on the memorization part, I cant make head nor tail of it.

Practice only the corners (or the edges) at first. Once you're proficient at that, practice the edges (or the corners). Then practice memorizing them in one step. I started learning the corners (with 2x2 BLD), and before I knew it, the placements of the letters started coming to me naturally without me spelling out the alphabet to figure out what letter a certain cubie was. With practice, you'll barely need to think to recall what letters the cubies are. Also, start practicing stringing up the letters that you memorize into words/sentences. The words don't need to make sense. Usually the first thing that pops into your head is best.

Disclaimer: I am not experienced at 3x3 BLD, having only done one successful solve out of about 7 attempts. However, these tips helped me complete that solve.

Should we add the memorization sequence of the corners before or after the memorization of the edges?

memo corners->memo edges->exec edges->exec corners

that’s the most common pattern. Also, you don’t “add” one sequence onto another; they are two separate sequences exclusive to their piece type
