Are there any cheaper alternatives to lube ? That are relatively easy to get?

My dad is pretty against lube, he never uses lube for anything here because the dust will interfere with it.

I’m looking for thing that are like household items cuz I’m saving up for a timer

I Was also looking to put lube in my cube (which was an rs3m 2020) about 2 years ago. Since my parents didn’t allow me to get lube, I put water into my cube which rusted the screws and springs on my RS3M 2020. So whatever you do, don’t put water into your cube! I don’t really have any suggestions as it ruins the cube some way or another

Short answer: Nothing good. Just buy lube, the adheron bundle for 3 types of adheron for 10 USD gives you 3 20cc bottles (which last years).

Edit: lube is much more worth it than a timer

As some people on this thread may have said, you can buy lube from speedcubeshop/thecubicle/etc for 5-6 dollars and it lasts a very long time. I understand that it's kinda expensive, but it's worth it because it lasts a while.
