I need help solving the rubiks 5x5. I'm moving on toward this because I am sort of getting bored with the 3x3 and my 4x4 has a broken centerpiece. Does anyone have a site that can give me the solution to the Professor cube? For some reason, I get a java error whenever theres a animation turning thingy so I'm trying to avoid those.

I learned from AvGalen's how to videos in the how-to section, they are links to youtube, and are very well done and straight forward, i had alredy figured out the centers intuitivly and his edge pairing begginner teqnique is pretty easy to learn.

On my website www.rubiks-zauberwuerfel.de you'll find also a solution for the 5x5x5. Although I did my best to explain my solution detailed and clear enough, I think it won't be very helpful without the java applets.
However, if you answer me the following questions, I can try to help you with your java problem:
What browser do you use?
Have you enabled java in your browser?
Have you tried to install the latest Java Software (www.java.com)

I can't assess whether my method is easier then yours because I don't know your tutorials (is www.arnaudensandra.nl your website? I can't reach it :( ), but in my opionion my solution is easier to learn than other solutions I know. Maybe that's because I found my solution by myself (intuitive, without learning any algs).

I've counted the number of java applets on my website, there are much less than 1 million ;) There are even less than the number of algorithms you have to learn for OLL when you solve the last layer from a 3x3x3 cube with the Jessica Fridrich method. Furthermore, I would only applet 2d and applet 2f call an algorithm (applet 2f is in fact not easy to learn), the other applets are only examples what you have to do in the shown case, but you don't have to learn them by heart, my goal is that you understand what happens when you make the turns shown in the applets. The only reason I've made so much applets is to explain my method as detailed as possible.

My method is not at all an speedcubing solution (I need about 8 minutes for the 5x5x5, but this has additional reasons: I trained it not as much as other disciplines, like the 3x3x3 Cube or the Master Magic; and my Professor Cube is not as good prepared as the 3x3x3). The solution of Frank Morris (www.bigcubes.com) seems to be better suitable for speedcubing (he is placed 4th in the official world ranking for the 5x5x5). His method is similar to mine, but in my opinion not much easier to learn than mine.

actually, I've fixed the applet problem, and found out how to solve the 5x5x5 already. It seems there was some kind of error with my web browser and was fixed after I restarted the computer. I used the edge pairing tut on youtube, though I had to watch it several times.

Thank you for all the people who have helped me throughout this post and achieve my goal of solving the 5x5x5
