2x2x2 help

I recently got a 2x2( not a good one just to play around with to see if i liked it) and this morning i was twisting the sides and it broke in half! does anyone know how to put it back together or will i have to buy a new one?
p.s.- it was a rubik's ice cube, as i said, not a good one but decent enough to play around with. so if anyone has any tips, it would be great
