my first reactions to the zhisu 4x4 is that every part about it works well together. the size feels great and magnets and corner cutting are on point. the inner layers needed some lube, but that was the only complaint. tensions ootb are good, but I can see how some people may want it tighter (i may give each one a .25 adjustment). will a bunch of solves in the days to come and will update when it breaks in.

Now that you have been to official comps, I am officially better than you at 2x2 and Pyraminx. And some other side events, but you haven't competed in those, so I'll give you a pass.

problem on the zhisu... I thought I had a loose magnet but is worse. the center pieces are solid so I can't open them up, but there is a piece of broken plasic rattling around inside one of the blue center pieces. maybe I can get some glue in there to stop it.

just got a 48.11 on the zhisu. still can't tell if I'd main it over the mgc 4. they are both very good.

What cubes do you use?

3x3: Filacore wrm 2021 ERM and a Valk 3m.

4x4: Filacore MGC 4

2x2: Qiyi MS

5x5: MGC 5

Gentlemen, you're forgetting the one goated event: Mega. Featuring 12 sides and a unique solving style that you only develop after messing around with the puzzle for some time! Now being able to switch tan and grey for grey and black, and you can get even faster at the puzzle!

okay... having problems with the zhisu mini 4x4. I want to tighten it, but no matter how much I turn the screw, it doesn't really tighten, and the puzzle just deforms more when I get to trickier spots. If I loosen the puzzle, it just gets closer to popping more. another problem is the center pieces. when turning fast, they just bobble around and get locked up. it really is unfortunate, the cube turns so well when not speedsolving. the corner cutting is phenomenal, the inner layers turn fast if not almost faster than the outer layers, the size and weight is awesome. It's just so unreliable during solves. thinking about returning it and just shooting for an aosu.

from the atuff you wrote, it seems like the rattley bit was perhaps a piece broken off of one of the center ring pieces where the screw goes down into the core
