its gnew now, not sure if its intentionallthx, I changed it.
You could download the cubeskills one as a PDF iircAnd guess who forgot to bring their oll sheets on vacation… oh well, I guess I have my phone.
I new it but who old *you* that? ¯\(°_o)/¯You spelled new as knew in your progression thread title.
You should learn OPA. No more parity lolOkay, 4x4 break is over lol. The lube just broke in and I got a 48.219
Wait, what’s OPA? Sounds too good to be trueYou should learn OPA. No more parity lol
Oll parity avoidance. Basically, you scan a wing to it's corresponding partner and see whether it's good or bad, and from just scanning the wings you can determine the cube is in an even or odd state (which means the cube has had an even/odd number of slices done on it). Then, as you solve, you keep track of the # of slices you do, so once you get done with your first center (assuming you use Yau) you won't have parity once you get to 3x3 LL.Wait, what’s OPA? Oh so like in 3bld when there is an odd amount of edge swaps, you do an r perm. Thx, I’ll look into thisOll parity avoidance. The idea of no parity is kinda misleading I'd admit. You'll still get pll parity sometimes but you won't get OLL parity, if you do it right. Check out my thread about the rant @LBr did on it.
It kinda follows a 3bld approach where you see where edges will go, but in this case it's where wings will go corresponding to their mates.
Well no. You "fix" Oll parity just by doing the solve as normal, but you keep in mind the number of moves that you do relative to whether you determined the cube is in an even/odd state. So like if I determined a scrambled 4x4 was odd, I want to make sure that by the time I finish the first center the cube is in an Even state. And if the cube was even I'd want Even as well, since Even means no OLL parity.Oh so like in 3bld when there is an odd amount of edge swaps, you do an r perm. Thx, I’ll look into this
Stanley Chapel has a good video on itWait, what’s OPA? Sounds too good to be true
haha good one there mangAlso link address to where I learned OPA:
Plz no opa , OP is fun.Okay, I’m learning OPA. I know how to count cycles and I’m comfortable with counting the slice moves up until my third center. It seems worth it and is pretty cool that something like this exists. Thx @Garf
I've never seen a statement that I agree with yet full-heartedly disagree with.Plz no opa , OP is fun.
I agree with thisAs @LBr has mentioned, you probably don't need to learn OPA yet.
