Changes to the WCA event list.

Also, what exactly does "abstain" mean in this scenario ? Does it just mean that the entire idea of clocks removal is scrapped ? (I find the definition rather hard to understand for some reason)
“Abstain” means the individual is not taking a position or doesn’t want his vote counted for either side.

I am really surprised and curious why the volunteers are pro-clock-removal. I wonder if this is due to the event being perceived as difficult to run,
The argument is that it doesn't fit in with the other puzzles that are WCA official. That's mixed in with a lot of the volunteers having been around long to have had their opinions set in stone back when clock sucked.

Anyone who says clock is difficult to run is either lying (like the WCA Board did in their explainer post) or hasn't actually run clock at a comp in the last 3 years.

"a portion" - the biggest understatement I have ever heard.

Literally all of the reasons (in the post above) on why the removal of clock is final are based on OPINION. The manageability of clock is rather easy in my opinion, the only real issue being the fact a different cube cover is needed (but in theory if that is such a big issue then change the standard covers to suit that, no ?)

Not to mention that it is the opinion of the MINORITY of those involved in cubing.

I haven't been involved with this topic much though, so I may be wrong (correct me if so).

At least they are trying to change the way event changes will happen in the future. Assuming another change even happens.
