I am one of those people that have to double (triple, quadruple...) check things (if I just locked the door, sometimes I'll go back to make sure I just locked it!) hints of OCD, as it were. In terms of cubing, this means that sometimes after cross I will, for example, check to make sure cross is done (ie, not trusting myself). I have been working at and am much better at just moving past cross without checking and trusting I did it ok (which usually is the case, great for my psychology). Similarly, when working on intuivite F2L, I will sometimes "double check" to make sure I got it there (tho getting better at trusting myself and just moving on!)
The question is: Even though you might not be OCD, was there a point in your early cubing career that you would "double check" to make sure "it got done"? If so, at what point do you think you started "trusting youself" that you got it done and moved on?
btw, I mean this to be more of a discussion than a "tutorial" or "beginner's forum" (if that makes any sense
