Centers finished Sub 2, got to L4E at 2:59, 3x3 stage at 3:30 and through double parity and pop, I still did not get Sub 4.

Okay, my first organized comp finished a few days ago, and it was a very good comp...
However, pyraminx and skewb did not go well. Though the only events I practiced, I did well in! What a concept!

So here is the first major update in a while, excluding random posts about competitions and random unofficial averages etc. As 2026 creeps closer I have begun thinking about goals. Despite being an allrounder, I've always felt that several of my events (subject to change over time) have always been a bit behind. Previously I've just looked at my worst ranked and gone to improve it, and while this has worked, I've decided to solve it once and for all, with one balance long-term goal, not necessarily to be completed in 2026, or even 2027 for that matter, though it could quite likely be done within that time frame anyway. It is to become top 1k in every non-PBQ event.

Here are my current PRs and world ranks in all my events. I will update it when the Cubng in the Capital results release and for all future comps after that. Apologies for the pixelated image, it was taken on my phone while it was in desktop mode on order to capture the entirety of my PRs without doing it in multiple screenshots.



And here is a list that I made a few days ago, of every event's top 1k for single and average:



For some, I am light years away from the goal, some I have only recently fell out of the top 1k, and some I am well within top 1k for both sngle and average. But until I achieve top 1k for every non-PBQ event (maybe including FMC and... maybe including blond events eventually), I will keep updates in here, possibly more for my sake than anyone else's.

So anyway, I've recently switched to the Meilong v2 and it has been incredible fun to solve on. First of all, it is a lot smaller than the MGC so it fits my hands nicer. It's also really well setup by Picube and certainly pops less, though unfortunately when it does, it is much harder to put back together. As I've probably said prior, I've also swapped to Freeslice (though still Redux like any other of my Big Cube methods) and it has been a lot less tiring both physically from new hardware and mentally from an easier method.

EG-1 progress: I've been fully confident with Pi and H for quite a while now, as well as T for a couple weeks. Yesterday I leant the entirety of the L set which I would say I am almost entirely confident in, which just leaves Sune, Anti-Sune, and U for me to finish as I already know one or two cases in each. I'm giving myself from now until Wednesday to learn the remaining three sets and from then until Friday to farm one looking by grinding out solves and watching Ram's one looking series, and then on Saturday, the day of the comp, I will practice sliding
My main goal for this comp is just to get 2x2 PR average, it is 2.8x something and it is absolutely horrendous, my first 2.8x average was back in like July 2024 when I averaged about 2.6x, my second was in around Jan 2025 when I averaged about 2.4x. Gosh this event sucks. Actually, I'm not going to pressure myself too much, I'll still learn everything aforementioned, but my main goal is watching Levi Hetherington (hopefully) finally getting a decent average. Anyway, I finished EG-1and I've begun one looking almost every solve, bringing my global down to about 2.15. I'm still waiting from a Sub 2 ao100 at which point I'll say that I average Sub 2, but in the meantime I'll add to the couple hundred solves I've done in the last 2 days and get more familiar with each case.
