What cube moves the fastest?

I started cubing about 3 weeks ago and I was able to solve it about 1 week after I started with an average time of 2:00 using the beginner method. I am trying to find a tutorial online on how to solve it using the Fridrich Method but I find all of them too confusing. I average about 1:30 still with beginner. If I do get a Lubix Zhanchi or Guhong, I am going to break it in a little but I will continue using my ghost hand II. I will use my lubix cubes for competition and back up. If I like the lubix cube that much I may buy another lubix cube one for my main and one for backup.

then stay with a GH its a really good starting cube
you dont need 45 corner cutting or Mf8 legend speed
that is the last worry speed will come naturally and so will lookahead
corner cutting wont be necessary unless you are a sloppy turner and unpoppableness is for rough turners
i remember my GH i got it around the time i was sub 40 and i got my first sub 30 and 20 singles on it

I'm still deciding on which cube to get any more comments? I also sent Ben an email a day ago asking for a sample of Lubix. I'm gonna try it on my ghost hand and if I like Lubix I will definitely get a Guhong or a Zhanchi. I'm not on a budget at all as long as the cube is not over $50. I'm not in a rush to get a new cube.

If you're not on a budget then I suggest getting the DaYan cubes 2, 3, 4 and 5. Then you can decide which best suits your style the most and you can use the other 3 as backup cubes. Or you can just flog them off. If you want to go wild, then also get an A-V and an F-II at some point. The CC may also be worth your time/ money in the long run.

Some members have mentioned the Mf8 Legend. It's by far the fastest turner in 3x3x3 land, but it locks like nobodies business if you aren't light handed. I wouldn't recommend it just now.

It is? I thought the honour goes to the lingyun

The LingYun is fast, but the Mf8 is pure ridiculous...But it is also frowned upon because it's basically lock-fest. I pick mine up now and again just to flick U. Makes me smile ;)

The MF8 seems too cheap for a so called good cube. I decided I am on a budget because I am going to get the new MacBook Air, the 13" 256gb 4gb ram, with a core i7. That cost about $1700 plus like $100 tax. I'm using that for college and I don't have a job yet, just my savings and stuff, so I can only buy 1 cube. Do you guys think my ghost hand will be as good as a zhanchi or a guhong after i lube it with lubix?

Ok...it "moves the fastest" (refering to thread title).

Definitely yes.
You just need to break-it in for 10 years. If you are impatient, swap the ghost hand core for the i7 core. It really helps to shave off a week or so.

NO.

When considering a cube, it isn't all about speed. You have to consider pops, lockups, and corner cutting. The reason the Ghost Hand isn't a great cube is because it locks up like crazy... Making the cube faster won't make it suddenly stop lockingup.

You're dumb, get this beast instead http://www.bestbuy.com/site/HP+-+Pa...mber/2821791.p?id=1218354580787&skuId=2821791. If you want OSX hackintosh. Your username is geekygeek so you should know how to buy a good computer for a good price, and you should be fine hackingtoshining it. That way you can buy and experiment with a few more cubes, save a few hundred bucks, and stay away from the rotten apple empire.

I rather hate PCs and all my HP laptops heat up after like 30 minutes of web browsing just like reading my emails and then it shuts down because it reaches like 200 degrees. I rather have an SSD and portability because I travel a lot.

My ghost hand rarely locks up and it can cut corners easily at a 20 degree angle its pretty fast too, I just don't like the quality of the stickers. What about the Guhong and Zhanchi stickers, do they peel off and chip easily. If you look at Faz's world record videos, his cubes are chipped like crazy.

What? Read my username

Ever heard of this new invention called a cooling pad? Oh, and did you know that hard drives are *gasp* replaceable? Most problems with any computer are your own fault, not the manufacturer's. Apple's just making it dummy proof to do, hence the markup. And why do all of their computers have to look alike, haven't they ever heard of variety? Dang communists.

Not to be a fanboy but PCs are just plain ugly. Here are more reasons I prefer Macs of PCs.
Looks
The OS
Don't get as much viruses as PCs
No Bluescreens
Features that PCs don't have

About 95% percent of PC owners would love to have a Mac but cannot afford it. I'm sticking with Apple and microsoft sucks. I've been part of many PC and Mac debates and yet I always win.

I 2 emails to lubix one about a sample and one about what cube moves the fastest. He replied already with the what cube moves the fastest:
The stickerless cubes definitely move the fastest. Cubes only need to be relubed about every 6 months with a VERY minimal amount.
Best Regards,
Ben with Lubix

I also just sent him an email saying what cube has the least lock ups, I will post his reply when he gets back to me.
