The material value. What about the value of the time invested in such a project?

1. This cube may or may not be amazing...
2. If you spent over 6 hours "modding" it, you'd be charging around $10-15/hr for labor (yes, I deducted material fees).
3. From this, you have to ask yourself about explicit costs and implicit costs. Now, given the maturity of your (OP) posts, I think I can make the assertion that you don't actually work full time, and if you do, you're not nearly old enough to live on your own.
4. Thus...$10/hr is reasonable, but anything higher seems overpriced. No one here is going to buy a $100 cube unless it is legitimately great. Make a video, post it, share it, then we'll talk.
5. Also, if it's truly worth that much to YOU, then you might as well keep it for yourself ;)

Erm...I'm 35 years old and have worked 20 of those years. Including 4 years that I served my country in the military...

I have decided to give up my job as a real estate agent, and devote it entirely to making cubes for people with too much money. Right now, I have 3 guhongs and 2 lunHui's forsale, all with edge and corner mods, about a quart of lubix dripping out of each, and competitively priced at $98 each. These are so sloppy smooth that you can turn them by blowing on them really hard. Orders are pouring in, so get yours today, don't delay!

You do it yourself.

I agree. But if were're talking about the value of this "cube" be it real or a hoax, the work hours invested into making it, should also be added to the cost of the materials. I was actually considering getting a Lubix Elite at one point and wouldn't have minded paying the extra 25 dollars on top of the standard cube given the time put into making one. But yeah, I'm not willing to pay what people are paying for them now. I might try you idea concerning the LingHong and the GuYun though, that's a pretty cool idea :)

This is HILARIOUS!!!

And such a waste of lubix. Then you say it's lightweight after you put and entire 2cc of lube in it (It won't fit in the cube... it'll get all over your stickers, your hands, and your table). This could quite possibly be troll activity but then again there's such a large hype for lubix products lately. We all know that a modified guhong feels great... but are times significantly faster? Not really. Practice is the ultimate key to getting fast times.
