The video is sufficiently long (50 minutes) that if anyone else actually watches the whole thing, you are officially even more insane than I am.

It's kind of sad, because it took so long to upload this video, I've gotten over a minute faster since then. (For this week's weekly competition, I had a 7:43.89 average 3/5.)

Much thanks to Chris Bird for giving me access to his privileged account so I could upload the whole thing.

The info is in the video description, but here it is again if you want more immediate access:
Square-1 BLD Average of 5: 8:59.83
1. 8:59.93 (3,-1) / (0,-5) / (-3,-3) / (-4,1) / (-4,-2) / (0,6) / (6,-2) / (0,2) / (-4,0) / (0,-4) / (4,3) / (2,-3) / (2,6) / (6,6) / (3,4) /
2. (6:50.14) (-2,0) / (5,-1) / (6,0) / (-3,3) / (-2,-5) / (5,-4) / (-3,-3) / (4,1) / (2,3) / (6,-3) / (3,3) / (3,-3) / (-2,-1) / (-2,3) /
3. (9:54.56) (-2,-1) / (3,0) / (2,0) / (0,-5) / (2,6) / (2,-1) / (4,-2) / (-3,4) / (5,0) / (5,-2) / (-4,4) / (6,-4) / (6,-1) / (-4,6) / (0,-4) /
4. 8:48.50 (-5,5) / (0,6) / (3,-3) / (4,-5) / (6,5) / (5,0) / (4,-1) / (-4,-2) / (0,-4) / (-2,2) / (-2,2) / (4,-2) / (2,2) / (4,6) / (6,0)
5. 9:11.05 (1,-4) / (6,-3) / (0,3) / (6,1) / (-1,0) / (4,5) / (3,0) / (-3,-4) / (2,-5) / (6,0) / (-2,-2) / (-1,2) / (6,6) / (2,-5) / (-4,2)
The description of my method is available at http://skarrie.se/square1blind/.

It really is fun to do square-1 BLD now. I think I enjoy it more than big cubes BLD. (But maybe that's just because it's still new - it might wear off after a while.) One thing that surprises me is my accuracy - I've gotten 10 of the last 11 attempts correct! I think it's because there are so many double-checks built into the memo for my method - the method is built for accuracy. I really like that.

You sir, are insane.

Once you've got it all into cubeshape, how do you solve corners and edges? Setup moves and three cycles?

Mike, you are truly amazing Sir! I'll have to watch the video in chunks, but I do want to see you in action with your BLD craziness! Many, many, many props to you for coming up with this method! Absolutely insane!

Chris

Mike told us at the meetup he got his successful SQ-1 solves, and we were all quite happy :D:D When he explained the method to us (in broad terms, didn't get into specific cases) it didn't seem too bad, but maybe that's because he didn't actually teach us how to do it, just gave us the concept :P

Now Mike, I believe it's time for that insane relay! You said it's probably going to be some time away, psh, next weekend shall suffice!

Nice video, by the way :D:D

Incredible, Mike! The amount of work you're putting into this is amazing!

And yes, sq-1 multi soon? :)

Wow, there can't be very many people who have managed this! Congrats!

I'm 99.9% sure he is the only one...

Unless some crazy Indonesian decided not to tell us.

I know Stefan Pochmann has done at least one square 1 blind solve, but I don't know if it was on video and it probably wasn't this fast.

As far as I know, most people who have done Sq-1 BLD before haven't used their own technique, but just speed BLD it.

So Mr. Hug-Hay would be the first to have developed an actual method for this.

(Don't quote me on this considering I may have heard wrong from Mike)

~Chris
