Haven't done much with cubing lol. I got a Gan 16, bought Tymon's course, and then life said nope. So I've been focusing on other things, like gaming and work. I recently got promoted to a manager, which was cool! I also have been grinding Bloodbath, and I got 58% today! I'm getting there with the consistency.

you BOUGHT TYMON’S 200 DOLLAR COURSE?????

My next goal will be Sonic Wave and playing some other demons as well to help boost skill. I might also be getting a coach to help with practicing, so stay tuned on that!
Don’t really speedcube anymore, and that’s okay. I still pick up a cube every one in a while to mess with it, but that’s about it. Everyone here that’s helped me improve while I was performing holds a special place in my heart ❤️.

you can’t escape cubing and us garf
you will always come back (which is a good thing imo)
lol yeah
I think some of the reasons why I stopped updating this thing so much was:
1. Life, since I'm an adult now compared to when I started on the forums almost 6 years ago
2. The forums have changed with new cubers coming and making things different
3. just how my interest in speedcubing has changed over time

Plus the biggest one, where progression threads stopped being shown on the main page. However, I noticed they were back, so I figured it was a good reason to start posting again.

I could try, but I'm not as fast as I used to be. What's up?
Thanks! So I still use block building, but am very familiar with strip solving as you recommended before (thanks for your advice) but struggle with which one is actually faster for me. They are about the same speed. With block building I would finish centers around 1:40-50 when I was peak performance, with a record of 1:32 to solve centers. That was block building. I never really tracked with strip solving, but is about the same. The switch to Yau killed my center solving peak and now it takes me 2:30ish with Yau and 1:50-2:00 with Redux. Which method do you prefer, and how did you learn them without plateauing?

The thing with centers is that you shouldn't just use bars or just use blockbuilding, but rather a bit of both. It'll take some solving to get the idea, but the goal is to try to maintain efficiency in centers without being ridiculous about it. Also with Redux vs Yau, it's all about practicing, getting comfortable with not only the method, but the idea of being slower with it. Something people lose when solving is the quality of their solves. It's not always about times, but more about the process of how you got there. Once your solving is more fluid, the faster times will come with it.
As for what method I prefer, I had switched to Yau for all big cubes before I quit for some time, although I was faster with Redux.

Thanks! I am aware of efficiency, and am trying to focus on improving the quality about my solves. I am getting used to the new finger tricks, and am trying to understand what you mean by centers being both block building and strip solving. Does that mean you learn to solve more than one strip at once? Thanks for your insight by the way! I know you are fast at it but do not know exactly what times you have (single,mo3) and even ao5
Thank you again!

You can find my best times here:
I documented all my best speedcubing times, progression in running, Geometry dash, speedrunning, etc.

I am unsure of how to read your pb sheet😭
