UWR Thread

What is uwr
Unofficial World Record
Basically the best time someone has EVER gotten in a given event. This can be at home or in unofficial competition
There is another term called YTUWR which means the fastest time that has been recorded and posted on YouTube; these tend to be slightly slower than the actual UWR

what is the difference between UWR and WB
Pretty sure there is no real answer and they are often used interchangeably, but I like to think of a UWR as an unofficial result that is better than the WR and of a WB as the best result ever gotten.

I think the term UWR and WB mean the same thing, it's just that these days WB is more commonly used
The real answer is there's no difference. A few years ago a bunch of YouTubers decided they didn't like the term "UWR" because it implied something about competition conditions? I don't remember. But they pushed their own term that means exactly the same thing, and now there's a weird confusion about it. UWRs/WBs never required video proof, verification, competition conditions, or anything like that and they still don't. Maybe they should though
