[Help Thread] Need help: how to lube GAN?

Hello everyone! I have a GAN 356M, and I recently bought some #1 GAN lube (maintenance) but I don't know how to apply it. I got the lube because my cube is really dry. If you respond with instructions, please post either photos or a video with it, because I learn better from watching other people. Thanks!

Just throw 4-5 drops into the cube inbetween a corner and an edge. The tutorials are unneeded when you are only using a simple lube.

Easiest way to do this is to spread a corner and edge apart and squeeze out 3 drops of lube into the cube. I highly discourage adding more than 4 drops as this will make the cube more sluggish than smooth. The GANCUBE video @pTr linked is very good for what you are asking for.

I personally use GAN lube 1 maintenance (the old version but it doesn’t matter) combined with FZ-Stealth.

I use moyu lube, and gan 2 and 3

no don’t do it i was trolling (some people actually to it though)

quick tip: if you use a cube that is really hard to turn and slow, try vaseline because it will break up the plastic making the cube turn better

I have a Tornado X-Man V4 (Flagship) that is set to the lowest tension and axis settings but maxed magnet strength, so it's not hard to turn nor slow.

I have my PLLs under 1.5

i heard people use traxxas which is used for RC cars or smth but it needs clarification

edit: yes it is a differential oil with different weight so if you have an RC car store nearby you can try it out

As a fellow gan fanboy, let me tell you what lubes you should buy. Go to speedcubeshop, and buy martian, lunar, and comet. Now go to the cubicle, and buy dnm, fz rush, and fz calm. Now buy weight 5 from any of.the stores. Now, look at the descriptions of the lubes, and lube as you wish for the cube to feel.

until you end up only using 2 or 3 lubes

FZ-stealth is pretty good too
