So, I started 4x4 about a week or 2 ago. Currently averaging around 1:50 mins (=.=) depending on parity sometimes times it can go up to 2:20 mins. I just need to know what needs to be improved. Heres a breakdown of my solves:

Centres = 25 secs -ish
Edge pairing = anywhere up to a minute
3x3 solving = ranges from 25 to 40 secs

I just need to know what the breakdown of people that average around 1 minute is. I watched some advanced pairing methods...seems a little too inefficient for me. I prefer to stick to 2 edge pairs at a time. I use fridrich and 2 look oll for the last part.

So...yeah...I've ben doing 3x3 all this time and I'm a little uneducated in 4x4 so..Thanks for the help in advance.

Well What method are you using for edge pairing, if you are doing one edge at a time switch to 2 Pair Edge solving because I average around 2:20 and my breakup is

Centers : 30
Edges : 45
Solve as 3x3 : 55 (never less than 45)

should i spoil this thread? xD

on a good solve,
1st 2 centres: 4s
corners: 8s
finish R and L faces: 20s
finish cage: 7s
centres: 13s
total: 51s, that is a very good solve though =P

normal solve:
1st 2 centres: 5s
corners: 9s
finish R and L faces: 24s
finish cage: 8s
centres: 18s
total 64s

fine now reduction:
centres: 15s
edges: 60-75s
3x3: 30-40s

average abt 1:45..

Centers: 13
Edges : 22
3x3: 16-25

Really varies on parity or no parity, and how my recognition is for the last 2 edges.

How do you (And other fast 4x4 cubers0 edge pair so fast? It seems to be my only problem.

Centers: Sub 15
Edges: ~35
3x3: ~30 (Depends on Parity)

Turn slow at edges, you'll find edge groups better.
Dont' do any extra useless turns, instead rotate more.
That's what I do :)
Or try to not rotate at all lol

Can someone tell me a breakdown in order to get sub 2 minutes? I average around 2:40ish.

My breakdowns are:

Centers: 30-45
Edges: 50-60
3x3: 30-45 depending on pairity.

If a good solve is 30+50+30= 1:50 and a "bad" solve is 45+60+45= 2:30 then an average solve would be 36+55+37= 2:08 (doesn't sound like 2:40ish; 50+70+40= 2:40) So to drop 40 sec from your times( keeping these ratios) it would prob. be:
-15 + -20 + -5 = 35+50+35= 2:00

I avg. ~2:30 with a PB of 1:52 and I would like to be sub 2(avg.) too

Centers: 15-25
Edges: 15-25
3x3: 20-25
my best solve is 1:00.27. and i think it was reduction 38 and 22 3x3 part.
average of my 700-800 solves in the last two month is 1:18.xy

Yeah i wrote the average wrong. I did an Ao12 and got 2:15.xx

thanks.
