Lets say I wake up, and I want to do some cubing. I do my first solve and BAM. I get a 35. My average is 24ish. And It lowers my 3 seconds every solve but I'm still very inconsistent. Can any of you guys tell me how to warm up? Thanks

I tend to start my session with a 2x2 solve, then move onto as much 4x4 as I want, then a mo3 on both 6x6 and 7x7, as much 5x5 as I want, and as much 3x3 I want. If I get bored I'll do a side event like skewb or pyra. If I am learning Algs for a certain event I tend to focus on that event, and use jperm.net to drill the appropriate algs.

Bro, it's normal in any sport to perform worse as soon as we woke up, doing slow solves to avoid learning bad habbits is the answer to this.

I always have a slower backup cube on hand (MF3RS2). Usually certain cubes would go gummy on the shelf and I'll just pick one up and start doing some scrambling/algorithms. The increase in speed once the lube breaks in give me the sense that my hands are warming up, which is a boost mentally. Going back to my faster main I see an increase in performance. It might not work for everyone but I certainly have found my way of warming up.
