I want to discuss and get clarify on getting the perfect mental pre-attempt routine before doing a Multi Blind attempt. I agree that an ideal routine might even be non-existent and this topic not worth discussing and/or mentioning.

There are a lot of threads in SS and other discussion forums on physical warm-up, like using hand warmers, taking deep breaths, using warm up cube, spamming PLLs etc. The mental aspect of preparing for multi blind has not been given closure.

The simplest routine is to not think, or overthink before the attempt. Just solve, don't think attitude.

But that works for almost all speedsolving events except Multi Blind. For multi we do need to be conscious about the number of cubes to attempt, checking out the quietness of solving area, making sure we are ready for an hour of mental exertion and ~20 minutes of physical exertion. Also, there are calculations to do, like to break PRs, get podiums and / or NRs and not do a blow-out attempt.

Since I am a beginner in multi blind, I would love if more experienced and higher ranked BLDers give insight into what mental routine works for them.

Doing random visualizations in the head works

Slightly different from lucid dreaming

An alternate guided solution is to watch reels for a while, to soft code the brain to accept randomness with least resistance.
