A lot of people have broken links to their YouTube channel set on their account; I believe this is because there's a length limit, so if you paste the entire URL, then delete the youtube.com part of it, the end of the channel URL won't be included. In addition, the wording "Enter your YouTube username into the field below." should probably be removed because all YouTube channels made in the past few years have a gibberish-looking URL unrelated to the display name.

My suggestion: let people paste the full URL in there (increase the length limit to, say, 100 characters), and then validate whether it's an actual youtube.com URL server-side. (It should start with "https://www.youtube.com/".)

Thanks for reporting. I don't think it is a length issue. Assuming people follow the instructions, the URL will work. Can you send examples of ones that don't work? I see a few on the last page where the user entered the full YT URL rather than the ID as requested.

The problem is that people don't necessarily follow instructions, lol. These are some of the broken YT links I've found:

Owen Morrison

A merge button would be nice so that if you accidentally double post you can just click a "Merge with previous post" and it will just append the latter post to the first one.

What if it automatically merges a double post? That might not be possible though

Can you add the ability to edit tags after you post a new thread? It really annoys me when I put a lot of work into a thread and then realize I forgot tags and it'll probably die.
