Pre-ordered from Speedcubeshop on 15 November. The first batch had mold defects, so Speedcubeshop sent them back to QiYi in exchange for non-defective cubes. I've been waiting patiently impatiently for it ever since.

Okay, so my Wuque arrived Tuesday. Since then, I've been absent from the world, laying in a puddle of my own drool with a stupid grin on my face and this amazing puzzle in my hands.

tl;dr
Get the stickerless Wuque, it's amazing.

I have fallen in love. This cube is more than a good cube, it calms my angry soul! I've been so frustrated with the catches, lock ups, pops, lack of corner cutting, from 4x4's these days, ugh! This cube eases my frustrations and solves ALL those problems.

I've seen every YouTube video to date with the word "Wuque" in it... All of them. And I have noticed that a ton of people who got the black Wuque said it is sandy, a little sluggish, and I noticed that the cube sounds clacky and stiff in the videos. They say it's good, but nothing special. Everyone (and I mean everyone) who gets the stickerless Wuque says it's smooth and fast, and is totally blown away by it. I noticed that the stickerless ones sound swishy and papery...(not sandpapery, like the black). The stickerless sounds smoother and more buttery.

Side note: Every cube I have tried, regardless of brand, has felt much better in stickerless than in black. It's the plastic. Even my beloved black Yuexiao isn't as good as my stickerless Yuexiao, or my wife's stickerless Yuexiao... no matter what I do to it, the stickerless is always better.

In regards to the mold defects, other cube shops say that as long as you break in the cube, the mold issues are not a problem. I ordered from Speedcubeshop and they ensured that none of their customers got the chance to find out what an inferior product felt like. I've had cubes with that kind of mold defect and it DOES affect performance, no matter what QiYi says on their Facebook. To anyone who got the first batch and found mold issues, I'm sorry you wasted your money. (QiYi has said on their Facebook to talk to your cube shop about an exchange.)

The day I got mine, I took it all apart and carefully inspected every piece. No mold defects. No defects at all, just like the name. ("Wuque" means "absent of flaws/imperfection.")

The stability is fantastic, corner cutting is amazing. It is fast and controllable. Just like people say, it feels like a 4x4 version of a Valk. And my internal pieces are YELLOW! :)(What color are your internals? I've seen orange, blue, white, and i think green. I've heard of red, too.)

Con: it's 62mm, and I think that 60mm wouldve been better. (Wow. I'm complaining about 2mm.)

Actually I have both the defective first mold Wuque and the improved one. The first one is black and the second is sticker less. The most significant defect in the first mold is the friction in outer layer is too large for turning, and the second mold got this solved. However, the second mold also increased to 62mm, and I prefer a smaller one.

I have the black. It felt promising at first, like it would be the 4x4 equivalent of the Yuxin 5x5 feel, once the sandiness wore smooth. However, as it wore smooth, it got slower not faster, almost as if it is sticky. I broke it in with 150 solves at factory setup, and have since added shock oil one drip at a time and done another 150 solves or so, but it hasn't got any faster. My times are now about the same as on my Aosu but the WuQue feels like harder work and leaves my hands more tired.

Yeah I agree with you that the cube's speed is noticeably slower than other puzzles, and I used to also feel it wearing on my hands (hence Z lube once every hundred solves or so). I don't know if it's me getting used to it or the residue from my lubing but I definitely feel like it has become easier to turn my WuQue in comparison to when I first uploaded this video. In my opinion it has reached a perfect speed, or slightly slower than my preferred speed at least. I will probably buy sticker less though and test that out, since @Dom has a point in that most sticker less WuQue unboxings seem to sound and perform differently than black ones.

Damn, I ordered the black version a day before checking out this review. Should I be worried? The black's still good, right?

It's still fine, but just keep in mind this cube is getting a lot of mixed reviews. Tons of people absolutely love it, but I know several people that don't like it at all. If you're upgrading from an Aosu or Guansu, I'd give it a 50/50 shot at becoming your main.

I'm on the "love it" end of the spectrum, but I have to admit: the Wuque is an extremely finicky cube. Some days, it turns great, no catching, super smooth, fast, just amazing. And other days, it's slow, catches like crazy, and ruins my times. So come competition day, I honestly have no idea what I'm going to get. It's been my main for months, and I'm still constantly adjusting tensions to find that sweet spot. It's kinda frustrating.

My main 4x4 is the MEIYU!!!! WWWWHHHHHHYYYYY, do I have such WEIRD preferences.

Anyway, I got the WuQue, around June 2017 from speedcube.com.au and I was a new cuber then, and didn't know that the WuQue needed 'breaking in'. But it was still my main (because it was my first 4x4). Anyway, around a month ago, I started getting good at 4x4 and averaging 1:30, I started to break in the cube. I'm one of those people who need a fast cube, which the WuQue emphasised after breaking in, but still needed more speed, so I lossened the tensions, which resulted in pops. I couldn't make it tighter, as it would be slow. So (for a reason I don't know) I got the MeiYu. Which was worse than bad out of the box, but for some reason I LOVED the feel. So I broke it in, took it apart, lubed it with Lubicle 1 and weight one and it was amazing, and I didn't get any pops.

Yet, I can't recommend my MeiYu because all of my friends HATE the cube and prefer my YuXin Blue (but I hate that cube). I guess I have weird preferences, which I am known for, but I have to accept it.

Yuxin Blue sucks. I had it once , not broken in feels like a cheap $10 cube and broken in feels mediocre at best.

So I'm seeing that people say the WuQue needs breaking in. How many solves should I do before comparing with my Yuxin Blue? I previously magnetized the Blue, and just magnetized the WuQue, and ~12 solves in I have to say I'm not super impressed.

E: not impressed with the Wuque. I'm a big fan of the Blue.

You should break in 200 solves before it reaches it's full potential, however 50-100 normally does well enough for most people. If you magnetised the Blue, I believe it's not worth bothering with the WuQue (because I've felt a magnetic YuXin Blue, it was great, however I still preferred my MeiYu).

I bought it in late October from cubezz. It arrived mid December. I magnetized it immediately (N35 4x2 in outer layers, N35 4x1.5 in inner layers). At first I hated it, now after about 50 solves it's okay. But I am a bit underwhelmed (still not fast enough for my taste). I have ordered a Aosu GTS M to compare. So ask me again in February.
