Nice. I've been rouxing(and cubing in general) for a month and a half and I avg 25 seconds. My PB is 18.833, and that was with 2 look cmll. I'm thinking whether to start LEarning full cmll, but I still think I need to improve f2b. I'm currently comfortable with 4 block(white on bottom) and avg 9 moves for first block, so should I learn algs or practice f2b.

you've been cubing for about a month less than me now, and already beat my time.
the thing to try is solving as much as you can during inspection.
also, I like 2-look CMLL because you can predict the EO case during the second look and can be planning your next move or the AUF you will do.

I suggest looking at waffos guide to sub-15 with roux on his page.

I think you should start learning CMLLs now. Even if you only learn one or two a day (I like learning them in pairs), that's only 5-10 minutes a day which leaves you plenty of time to still practice your blocks too. :)

Thanks! It was a really rewarding experience. I thank everybody who has helped with Roux including many of you here, on Reddit and on Youtube. I'm also equally happy with my 15.43 OH average. I thank Guroux for proving that OH Roux has a lot of potential and made me stick with it

What I did to learn CMLL:
I looked at all the OCLL algs I had, and the EOLL algs too. Then I figured how they affected corner orientation and permutation, and I had to learn less algs for CMLL.
what I would do is if you know some OLL's, do them in reverse and see the case they solve.
I also knew a lot of 2-gen OCLL's too, so I know maybe 8-12 cases already.
The Ones I don't know I'm using Acube to find the fastest algs and im making a text document

If you do learn CMLL, the gilles roux version lets you learn the least amount of algs and you still get full CMLL. It shows the relationship between the algs

Guys what cmll set should learn first and why? I know full 2 look
In my opinion, H -> L -> T -> U -> P -> S -> A.

H is the smallest so it lets you get a full set done quickly, then the next three or four are in order of how easy they are to learn. The last two or three are left until last because the 2-look cases aren't quite as slow for those sets - but you should still learn these algorithms. CMLL isn't like COLL where there's an alternative method you can do (i.e. OCLL-PLL). Learn them all!

Well, I actually learned Both the sune/antisune CMLL cases in around a week(casually), and I have learned, lemme think, around 4 algorithms. I generated my own algs, then used Gilles Roux's (The original) CMLL table to stretch them to as many cases as possible. He says that you only need to learn around 24 algorithms.
here is the table:http://grrroux.free.fr/method/Step_3.html

Kian Mansour - 9.48 average on first round, congrats!

Thanks! Beat it with 8.98 in finals which is ok i guess. I had 2 mid 7s but then choked when i realized i have a shot at nr. Drake made sure i didnt DNF again. Grammys is amazing.

Congrats Kian! Another one to add to the list ;) You got the fastest single of the round too, which was also sub-Erik.

Ross also did well with PB single/average in both OH and 2H.

Thanks again! I think that was the fastest single until antoine got a 6 and another 6. I didnt even know ross was coming, then I saw him sitting at a random table. He got PB 3x3 average.

super-late edit:

updated "sub 10 official rouxers":

Alexander Lau (7.37)
Kavin Tangtartharakul (8.79)
Kaijun Lin (8.88)
Kian Mansour (8.98)
Austin Moore (9.48)
Ryan Przybocki (9.50)
Vincent Wong (9.85)
Tomoya Yamashita (9.96)
Thom Barlow (9.97)

hey guys just got a new PB, and I managed to get it on tape!
check it out:
(yes I suck I know)

Seems like your tps is pretty good. I'd say try and work on constantly looking ahead, while turning a little slower so you can see what's going on (you had many pauses that probably summed to ~7 seconds)

Kian, @PenguinsDontFly congratulations on your performance!!! Maybe it was not the average that you were expecting but I saw your video and those two mid 7s at the beginning of the final were just impressive. If you can keep practising and going to competitions you are going to put Roux up there among world's fastest CFOPers.

Thanks a lot! I think the main challenge for me is going to competitions.
