How do I get sub 15 on 3x3?

Not seeing my numbers go down is annoying.

No need to rush it. 4 months into cubing and only stuck for 2 weeks is not much at all. I've been cubing for almost 8 years now, and have been stuck at the 11 second avg for more than half a year now.
Take your time, practise consistently, learn full OLL, and have fun. Lose the fun in cubing and your time wont get faster.

I average 13.

Alright, now I need someone to help me. I don't know what, if anything, I should be learning. I'm stuck (not quite, I'm slowly improving but it is still kinda discouraging because I only improve by like 0.1 each week) at a 13.2 average. My splits are:
Cross: 1.9
F2L: 6.9
OLL: 1.8
PLL: 2.6
Any tips? Thanks.

I'm not even sub 15 yet, but I would suggest you work on your PLLs. Try and get all of them under 2 seconds. That would help, and shouldn't be too hard

Your PLL seems pretty shabby, I suggest doing PLL time attacks, or getting all your PLL's sub-1.5.

Again, use algorithm databases to find good algorithms. Eliminate lefty mirrors if possible--those are usually slow for people.

I think it is my recognition and aufs more than my execution. Most of my PLLs are sub 1.5 and all are sub-2. I do consider it something that needs work though.

So today marks the 4 month anniversary since the first time I ever solved the Rubiks Cube.

Today I got a PB Average of 16.68

(14.68)
15.67
18.02
16.35
(18.56)

A normal 17 second solve would consist of:

Cross: 2

F2l: 7

Oll (2 look): 5

PLL (Full): 3

I use to the Gans 356, my pb single is 11.18 full step.

Ive been stuck at getting 17-19 second averages for a week now and its extremely frustrating because my improvement is sowing down drastically
However, I think within the next 2 weeks, I could get at least one sub 15 average with your help.

Any advice is much appreciated.

My question is, does everybody get stuck where I am around 4 months into cubing?

Not seeing my numbers go down is annoying.

Thank you.

its your last layer. Im sub 15, and my F2L times are the same as yours.
Cross 1-2
F2L 6-10
OLL 1-2
PLL 2-3

all you gotta do is solve the thing and you'll get faster... Since the start of june I've done anywhere from 100-500 solves a day and went from a 15+ average to high to mid 13s improvement isnt going to happen overnight but If you keep working at it it will come

I'm easily sub 12 despite my ao12 here are my splits :
Cross : 1.3
F2L : 9
OLL : 1.5
PLL : 2
and you don't have to learn Full OLL to become sub 15. There are some cubers who use 2 look Oll that are sub 12.

My splits/ move count for each step -STM (roux method)

FB: 4-6/10
SB: 6-8/14
CMLL: 4-5/11 -mostly 1 look. I've almost finished learning all of it
LSE: 5-7/17

Total:19-24/51

What should I work on?

I would say: a little bit on everything.
Mostly work on your F2B, I think you can improve there the most (and that is the most beneficial). The movecount are quite good, although FB could be a bit lower. Almost all the time I can do 6-9 STM for FB with x2/y2 color neutrality. SB is very good with that movecount.
As for the seconds, aim for:
FB: 3-4: try to plan as many moves as you can during th inspection!
SB: 5-6: increase your turn per second a bit, track the pieces
CMLL: 2 for one look, 3.5 for 2-look: recognition + alg drilling
LSE: 4-5: try to get rid of the pauses. Merge Step 4a and 4b (most of the time): during the last movements of the EO infulence the UL/UR pieces. Step 4a + 4b should be continious and fluent.

you don't need it but if you're sub12 with 2 look oll you could be sub11 or maybe sub10 with full oll, it definitely helps.

First speed up the turn seed of your cross and solve cross on bottom. Your cross to F2L transition was fine. F2L speed up turns slightly. OLL was really slow work on regognition and performance. PLL was fine too.

How to become sub-15?

So, I have been sub-20 for a while now. I average around 15-17 seconds. I usually get sub-15 solves 13-14 seconds. 11-12 seconds on a good solve. I was wondering how can I become sub-15. (Get under 15 second solves consistently). I use CFOP. I know full PLL, almost full OLL, ZBLLS Here is my average break down for solves.
Cross: 1.95 seconds
F2L: 8.348 seconds
OLL:1.739 seconds
PLL:1.55 seconds
lol 13 seconds

Breakdown of just 1 solve:
Cross: 1.58
F2L: 7.86
OLL: 1.63
PLL: 1.80

i know these would be good solves but I'm not consistently under 15 seconds.

Breakdown again (what i usually get probably)
Cross: 1.5 - 2.5 seconds
F2L: 8-9 seconds (i finish f2l around 8 - 9 second mark)
OLL: sub-1 - 2 seconds
PLL: sub 1 - 2.5 seconds

Well, personally I would work on removing pauses. And if you are consistently getting those as your average solves, I would say that you are sub-15. However, do your OLL and PLL times include recognition? If not, work on that. Also, if you feel there is nothing really you can work on, because you feel your LL is good enough, find out new tricks for F2L. i.e: setup: R' F2 R F2 solve using x M U2 M' x' or any other way that feels good to you.

XCrosses! COLL's! OLL skip stuff! This is the time to learn all the good ol' alg sets that you never thought you needed before!

Of course, you could stick with what you have and try to speed up F2L TPS.

Or you could do both suggestions above at the same time.
