Right now I am averaging low 8 on 3x3 with full CFOP, and I want to be sub-8 as soon as possible. Does anyone have any tips on how to achieve that, or know the best way to improve in general?

Thanks,

Gabe

averaging around 6.5-6.7

the main advice is to inspect 1-2 pairs in 90% of scrambles, improve lookahead and f2l efficiency. You can also learn some zblls as U and T. They are quite easy to recognize and learn but it gives huge impact

Improve your exec, and make sure your turning is clean on 95% of solves. Make sure your lookahead is good as well, pausing for only 0.3-0.4 secs as a minimum “rule”. Make sure you can plan cross+1 on nearly every solve. Also try to influence pairs as much as possible, especially during cross since it can help with efficiency and lookahead. Your OLL and PLLs need to be sub-1 if you can.
I personally just improved my lookahead, since my turning fundamentals were already good. Try to avoid unnecessary regrips too.
ZBLL isn’t necessary at your level, and you probably want to start learning it later at around 7.5 global. I also want to mention that you want to try to avoid bad F2L cases too. Use EO to manage rotations and good/bad edges too. You can turn a bad edge into a good edge by just using an alternate solution.

I also do written coaching for free, so you can just DM me on here or discord. My discord username is cvthecuber_97207

Thanks man! From what you said, I think I need to mainly work on my last layer speed, and planning cross+1.
