[Help Thread] ZBLL Discussion and Help

Edit: I just fooled around a little, and actually like these quite a bit: R U R' U R U' R' U' D R2 U' R U' R' U R' U R2 u' and R' U' R U' R' U R y R2 u R' U R U' R u' R2

I use that first one, I think I do prefer the second one to the mirror of the first, so thanks for that.

Oh okay, I wonder why Sune CxLLs are so much hated :s.

Sune is fast, it's not as worth it to force an EPLL when compared with how much slower sune COLLs are.

Exactly that :p
I don't know actual algs.

I'm getting mid 2 on each.

those are super long, but quite awesome for onehanded, thanks. what do you do for twohanded? i suppose h-perm + niklas would be faster than any of those algs, or the ones that are on algdb etc.

Two or three of the shapes of the cases make me irrationally angry, so I never learned those cases.

Like, some cases remind me of things, like UFOs or Vanilla, and those cases reminded me of childhood bullies.

Whats the general consensus on S and As ZBLL cases, considering the Algs for the OLLs are sub 0.4able. I have no doubt about T/U/PI etc. These cases are FABULOUS. But I am questioning ZBLL for S and As. What do the pros say about this? Do you find yourself using ZBLLs for S/As?

I used to be against them for TH, but I've found myself using them more and more often. It's up to you, I'm still on the fence.

Personally, I think people should hold off on those cases until they fully commit to ZBLL. Like, 100% long haul commit to it.

If they're absolutely set on it, then I think they should learn sune/antisune.

I changed my number plate to ZBLL4vr, bought a ZBLL T shirt and my first child is called Zoe Brown Lily Linley. is that commitment?
Just Kidding. I plan to learn the S/As cases last. I think anyone who learns ZBLL is committed because it literally takes months compared to say PLL which is easily learnable in less than a week.

Good luck!

I said that because there's lots of people who learn cases to supplement CFOP, and people who are just testing ZBLL to see.
In both of those situations, I think it's sub-ideal to learn sune/antisune cases.

So yeah, I think you should go for it.

ZBLL T shirt sounds cool btw.

Cheers Old Sport! I shall
I swear WHEN I finish it I will make a custom T shirt. LOL
Do you have one? :P

Agreed. If committing to learning ZBLL, S and AS should be learnt at the very end (if at all). I have barely touched S and AS, all I know is basically the standard, the inverse of standard and Niklas, meaning I have no idea how hard/good they are, so take my opinion with a grain of salt :)

Off topic: recently found a good algorithm for what I view as the worst U-case http://algdb.net/Set/ZBLL%20U/ZBLL%20U%2012: [R F2' U'] R2' U' R U2 R' U' R U' R [U F2' R']. Note that the parts in brackets are inverses of each other. Both F2's are executed with the right hands little+ring finger.

I used to use the R2 F2 R2 U.. one (I view both mirrors as the same), but I always found it slow and hard to learn, so I found this one by generating it with Cube Explorer. Seems no one has found it before.
