I looked around and didn't see a thread on this topic already and thought it would be fun for everybody to post what cube they consider to be their most trusty or reliable. Personally, I always find myself going back to my CC GuHong II or CC ZhanChi if I am going to be competing but will use newer cubes like the Hualong if I am just practicing at home. Is this just me or does anyone have a go-to cube for competing or for events?

Edit: Maybe this should be moved to reviews...?

When competing, I usually just tighten my cube or make sure not too lube it too much or too recently before the competition, but I don't really have a certain preference towards cubes I'd consider more reliable. Whichever cube is my main at the time will be the one that I'll use.

Interesting, I haven't heard of anyone ever doing that, they usually just leave their cube the same with fear of not being used to it haha

I would like to say my YuXin 3x3, or my DaYan Zhanchi.
I really like the YuXin, the ZhanChi is always a favorite of mine personally

Weilong. The first cube that was *actually good*.
I tried lots of other cubes at Nats. Only the Gans seemed comparably trustworthy to me.
I agree, the WeiLong is a really solid design and an all around good speedcube. It's easy to use, doesn't have a lot of drama when you try to go fast and doesn't have many downsides.

My Type C5 V2 doesn't pop or corner twist though is locks more than more Recent cubes. I would probably use it If I were to cube In public.
Also my Zhanchi, Thunderclap, or Weilong+ would probaply be what I would use In a comp.

Cubing in public is tough when you are trying to impress someone or even if you allow them to scramble your cube. I always keep a mini WeiLong in my car because it won't pop or lock-up easily which is good when non-cubers "man handle" your cube :p
