Sorry if this is in the wrong spot, or if it has already been created. Anyway, I was wondering about how many methods you guys know. Personally, I know 8, and was wondering what you guys know. Please list all of your methods after the poll, so others can also see what other methods there are that they could try! Also list what your main is!
i.e.: The methods I know are LBL, CFOP, ZZ, Roux, Belt, and then two of my methods I made, and were told they were horrible. My main is CFOP.

For the moment I only know CFOP LBL and ZZ but I'm planning on learning Petrus Roux and some more ! Also even if I have better time with CFOP for now, my main is ZZ.

Pretty sure most of us "know" all the basic methods. I think a better question would be: "which methods are you sub-20 with?"

I have sub-20 global averages for CFOP, CFCE, Petrus, Roux, Heise, Snyder, PCMS (unfortunately), LBL, the sexy method, and all of the reducible ZZ variants. :)

I'm barely sup-20 with Guimond and that gay pikachu method, or whatever u call it

Depends how you count. Three or more: (U layer last (CFOP, Petrus, ZZ, etc.), M slice last (Roux, sammich, etc.), edges first (direct solve, EO first, Heise, etc.).

No, because I've known CFOP for over a year and I'm not sub 20. Sub 40 is better.

Nourse? could you link to a tutorial?

Nourse is inefficient and sucks.

CFOP is not full OLL and PLL necessarily.

Well that depends how one wants to define it...

I could define CFOP with 4-look last layer to be CFOeOcPcPe for example (cross, F2L, Orient edges, Orient corners, Permute corners, Permute edges).

It's also not that clear what counts as a different method. Is CFCE really that different method than CFOP? How about all the different variations of ZZ-method? How about CFOP with edge control and WV? Or CFOP with edge control and ZBLL?

Roux (main)
ZZ
Petrus
CFOP (don't know all OLLs)
Heise (kind of)
LBL + Keyhole LBL
Edges First (there's not much to know here)

And corners-first variants:
Varasano (the original Ortega)
CLL
Waterman

I know too many... I have a link to a list of ones I'm sub-20 with in my sig, with what I average with them. I could probably get sub-20 with some more (e.g. Petrus) if I tried... also I haven't tried CFCE before, but I'd probably be sub-20 with that too.

I have a bit more practising to do.
Why do you not like PCMS?
