The reason why most Roux users stick with x/y2 or x2/y is because those allow us to use any premade edge/corner pairs that are available. Adding full CN might add a BIT more flexibility to the FB, but I feel like the benefits are not that much greater. However, the best of luck to you in your CN endeavor.

This assumes that the insertion is easy for that particular pair, which it might not be with the restriction. There are some cases I get with two pre-made edge/corner pairs and a placed edge (1-2 move block). I got two of them yesterday on qqtimer.

I guess I can't imagine ignoring them now, regardless. There may be benefits to not being color neutral (the supposed recognition) but, I think I've made up my mind and at least the benefits I'm seeking can be documented (lower average move count for FB).

Thank you for the well wishes, ha, I guess only time will tell with that one! I only know of one other fully CN Roux user, but he doesn't practice much anymore.

good luck. I think the reason why most people don't go to such lengths of color neutrality is the fact that you can't take in all that information in inspection. It all comes down to how many first blocks you can thoroughly consider in 15 seconds.

I can't figure out how to deal with this case when I do SB, and the case is on the back:

I mean it's not a problem when I got this in RF like the image shows, but there's is a problem for me when I got it on the back. To fix it and make block I need many moves, and I cant find nothing good.

From the back:

If you read this post and many of the ones following it for the next one or two pages, people say what their colour neutrality is - it looks like everyone uses x2/y or less, but still within x2/y.

I don't doubt that there are very few people with more than 8 starting blocks, but Deedub said that most Roux users have 8 starting blocks, which I doubt.

Yeah, whilst x2/y users do have 8 starting blocks (or 16 starting 2x2s), people who aren't fully x2/y neutral won't have that many choices. A lot of people are y, x2/y2 or even just y2, and those people will only have 4/4/2 choices.

Doesn't work. I mean the case when the corner RBD is in a good orientation and position and the edge is on the U layer.

Edit: got it: U' M R' U' M' U R

Could you give a setup so we can all make sure we're on the same page?

If it's like this:

R' U' R U y R U R' U' y'

then I would do:

U2 R' U M' U2 M U R

or

U r' U M' U' R

If I work with what you gave us:
r' M U M' U' r
It all depends on personal preference.
