I recently learned how to do the eoline in zz method and thought well why hasn't anyone applyed this to roux rather than a layer by layer aproach so I figured I'd try it. It worked decently but I'm no master of roux or eoline. Basically made the line on the dr and dl edges oriented the edges and solved it like a normal roux solve if somebody that is good at roux and eoline could try this and post their averages with roux, zz and this method that would be great.

P.s. I'm sorry if I got names of methods wrong also sorry if this has already been discussed I'm nub

The reason why EO isn't applied to Roux is to leave the M slice nice and free for some nice M slice fingertricks... EO kinda makes it RULish if you get me and also makes stuff more inefficient. Like the inefficiency of Petrus RUing...

I don't think it's that inefficent it helps me make my f2b faster not to mention it skips the substep where you orient the l6e

But then it forces you to use pair +centre edge rather than other ways to blockbuild, and also nifty tricks like u R u' for the first block for example. You can't even use F' to insert a pair under EO.
Having said all that, there are a few advantages I admit.

I thought the blocks were the hardest part, and a nice advantage of roux was that you could plan the whole first block in inspection. If you are spending the inspection working out the EOLine will that not make the first block much harder?

This is why I wanted someone to post their time with it I wanted to see if the advantages outweighed the disadvantages
